Who is excited for the seventh episode of the sixth season of The Curse of Oak Island? What if we tell you that we will continue following Rick, Marty and their team’s endeavors for discovering the historical secrets of Oak Island on the first day of the new year?
Yes, you’ve read it right! The new episode of Season 6 will air on January 1, 2019. The crew has high hopes of discovering treasure within several areas of interest and one of the possible locations for such discovery is the Smith’s Cove.

In the last episode which aired on December 18, we saw that the team will require 100 sheets of steel to be able to construct a 525-foot dam. This dam will serve as a barrier to prevent the ocean from entering the cove so that the team can excavate it. The Season 6 Episode 7 of The Curse of Oak Islandis called Rock Solid and will focus on the acquisition of materials for constructing the dam and its creation.
Nevertheless, Rick and Marty Lagina don’t seem to face any financial issues for this venture, as Marty Lagina is allegedly worth $40 million to $100 million. Sounds like too much for a treasure hunter? Well, you probably didn’t know that he also owns and runs a number of companies. Even though he seems quite busy with the television series, he finds time running a winery and wind turbine business.

Marty Lagina owns a winery in Traverse City, Michigan, which is called Mari Vineyards. His aim with this winery is to find ways and methods with the use of clean energy for growing grapes. This was a crazy idea as grapes cannot grow in that area of Michigan. On the other hand, he also runs a wind turbine business, called Heritage Sustainable, which is considered to be the largest of its kind in the Mid-Western United States.
His businesses, along with Nova Scotia and the history channel, are responsible for financing the digs and the treasure hunt.
