Finally, a new episode of ‘The Curse of Oak Island’ is coming out and based on the intel we’ve got it’s going to much more interesting than the previous ones.
It the last episodes, the brothers dug up to 20 feet below and found a hole that Marty thought is a tunnel. In the new episode that is titled “The Turning point”, it will be revealed what that hole is. The synopsis says that the team will begin the most ambitious and expensive operation that will, fortunately, lead them to the treasure shaft.
Beware of the spoilers
In episode 18, the team will go a step further, and they will continue to search the tunnel that is deep and dangerous because of the crumbling walls. The Lagina brothers feel that they are getting closer to the treasure, and they are going to turn their focus on the swamp. In the last few episodes, they’ve found a lot of mysterious items there, and now they believe that they’re finally going to find the answers that have been bothering everyone for more than 200 years.
If you’ve watched previous episodes, you know that they’ve found many items that they believe are proof that the swamp is human-made.
They’ve investigated everything that they’ve could; the entire triangular-shaped swamp, the Eye of the swamp, the Nolan cross boulders, and the ship-shaped anomaly that they detected last year. The team found many scraps of wood and metal and other items that were from the 1700s.
There may have been some changes, or there will be because the permission the team has to dig in the Smith’s Cove is going to expire soon, they will probably stop digging there. The extraction of the cofferdam is about to begin because weeks are necessary for it to be removed entirely.
The 200-year-old tunnel
But what’s most important is the moment when the team found a tunnel that’s more than 200 years old. They need to get close to the tunnel now, and that’s what we will probably see in the upcoming Episode 18. There is a possibility that the tunnel is going to collapse because it is very deep, so the team needs to be extra careful. Everyone is waiting for the mystery to be resolved, and exciting things are going to happen in future episodes.
