Metal sculptures of cars and movie characters by Mariusz Olejnik

Cars were always associated with art. In addition to engineering, there are designers working on the beauty of the vehicle, both inside and outside. It’s known that Americans have pretty crazy ideas when it comes to vehicle design, especially those custom-made vehicles. However, one Pole went a step further and created incredible works of art that deserve to be seen by people all over the world.

Mariusz Olejnik, who is the author of these magnificent sculptures, used parts of cars such as gears, wheels, brakes, and bumpers to create really interesting pieces of art. His work is part of modern art, and this show is certainly one you really need to visit to make sure of the beauty of his metal statues. In addition to the statue, some of the best-known supercars in the last decade can be seen at the exhibition, which Olejnik reconstructed and presented in a huge warehouse.

Scrap Supercars

We must say that anyone should see these works of art personally. You can do this in Pruszków, a city in Poland, in the Gallery of Steel Figures. So, in the vast expanse of space, there are dozens of huge sculptures made from parts of cars, which in this way served for better purposes than they would be used for recycling.

Certainly, the central part of this show is dedicated to the reconstructed iconic cars that have been marked in the past two decades. Here you can find the Maserati GranTurismo, the Lamborghini Aventador, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL and, of course, the legendary Bugatti Veyron among the others.

One feature of all re-created supercars is that they are actually made very detailed and that a lot of attention is devoted to every detail. If you want, you can go inside the vehicle. Although you might not expect that a lot of attention is devoted to interior details, it’s actually as fascinating as the exterior. You can see all the parts as in real vehicles such as seats, dashboard and steering wheel. For example, within Veyron, you can see engine and seats that are made in real size. And all this is made exclusively of steel. Also, we must say that you can open the door or hood so that the experience is complete.

There is no doubt that these exhibits will attract visitors and car enthusiasts around the world to visit this incredible exhibition in Poland. In addition to cars, there are motorcycles that are just like all other sculptures made of steel parts. We believe that it took a lot of time to assemble a lot of small pieces in order to create only one sculpture.

Other exhibits

In addition to these incredible cars and motorcycles, all art lovers will be able to see more exhibits that are equally incredible as well as vehicles. Mariusz Olejnik showed his great creativity and talent by creating figures that were inspired by some of the most famous characters in the film industry. On this show, you will find Gollum, Incredible Hulk, Optimus Prime, and many other well-known movie characters.

Of course, these sculptures are also made of steel parts. In addition to the incredible characters from the movies, the massive lion attracted our attention, and it was very detailed, as well.

The Polish artist said that he found inspiration in the Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. The figures that can be seen in the London Museum are truly realistic and incredible, so he was inspired by these artworks made of wax and decided to make metal sculptures. The characteristics of his exhibits are many details that are also present in wax figures in the United Kingdom capital. Another important feature of his figures is that they are made of scrap metal, so this material has a new function in this way.
