Brandy Ledford was born on February 4, 1969, in Denver, Colorado. Her parents are Sandra Ledford and Ken Ledford. Her mother is originally from New Zealand and her father has some Cherokee Indian ancestors. She has dual citizenship, that of the United States and Canada. When she was little, the family moved to Redondo Beach in California, where she grew up. Brandy got involved with dancing at a young age and she took part in many competitions, both local and national. She even won World Drill Team Championships in 1980.
She graduated from Redondo Union High School in 1987. Soon after, she married snowboarder Damian Sanders. Together, they appeared in two snowboarding movies, Critical Condition, and Snowboarders in Exile. Encouraged by this, she enrolled at Baron Brown Studio in Los Angeles in 1993. She graduated in 1996.
Her movie debut came in 1993 when she had a small role in Sylvester Stallone’s hit Demolition Man. After that, she appeared on Married With Children, playing David Faustino’s love interest. In 1996, she got the role in Pier 66, an ABC’s TV movie. She went on to play in various movies and TV shows, including Modern Family, Rat Race, Zebra Lounge, Andromeda, Cold Squad, Smallville, Stargate Atlantis, NCIS: LA, The Invisible Man, and others.
