Roman Reigns

What would Roman Reigns want to do with The Rock, and what did he learn from him?

Roman Reigns has recently spoken to Scott Fishman from the TV Insider, where he talked about learning from his older cousin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, as well as possibly mixing it up against or with The Great One in a match. Reins also mentioned watching The Rock work with the RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and King Baron Corbin at the recent SmackDown FOX premiere, for what was the 20th Anniversary special. What is more, he shared some memories from the recent blockbuster “Hobbs & Shaw”, a “Fast and Furious” spinoff movie where the two WWE legends shared the screen. Reigns described his cousin and idol Rock as a true and genuine superstar, like no other.

Here is what he had to say about The Rock:

“What I try to do throughout my career is stay grounded, remember who I am and where I came from before the big machine and bubble got around me. You can really see that with him and his process. It’s a unique process he has, no doubt. He is a superstar and worked his butt off to get to that point and make it that way. When you get your one-on-one time with him and see him come on set and interact, he is just so genuine. Always such a good time, always a smile on his face. To be able to be around him and pick his brain on a few different things as far as this business, movie business, business in general, fitness, all kinds of stuff. He is a wealth of knowledge and a great person to rely on and also an opinion you can trust. That was one thing I really enjoyed was those talks with him and getting a workout in here and there and pick his brain on the business and life. You have to be happy. All these different opportunities, the money, it’s not going to make you happy. It’s what you’re doing within and that what you’re doing brings passion to your heart. You have to be able to do that.”

Reigns also praised the connection The Rock has with his many fans, and that is it something nobody else has managed:

“And also connect with your fans. That’s something he does that nobody else can compare to. He is just constantly out there and keeping his fans informed. It was great to be around him. It was motivating and inspiring and hopefully I can continue to push my star and elevate myself.”

When it comes to a rumored big money match with The Rock at the next WrestleMania event, Reigns knows the two would have the right amount of the much-needed chemistry for a tag team, and that they would be great. The Big Dog added however that a singles match against the People’s Champ is uncertain. Regarding a potential match with his cousin, Roman had to say the following:

“It would have to be something the fans are just overwhelming about. They have to make it very clear this is the matchup they want. Then we have to take into account our family and the way that affects us and the way we’d tell our story. Right now, I just enjoy being around him. Being in the ring with him, we’d have to get to that point, and it would have to make sense for everyone. Right now, we’re representing our family and the love and the bond we have throughout our cousins and this family tree, I think we have to hold that up as high as possible.”

Fans around the world hope they will see much more entertainment content with the two cousins together. It seems like they know we want it, and they rarely disappoint their fans!

Dwayne Johnson Reflects on His Cousin Roman Reigns’ Leukemia Battle

Dwayne Johnson is wrapping up the filming of his latest movie, Hobbs and Shaw, but managed to make some time to talk about his cousin and co-star in the movie Roman Reigns and his health struggle.

Reigns was cast for Hobbs and Shaw last year, after his leukemia went into the reemission and he is back living his life.
“I’m back to 100% in the ring,” Reigns said. “Life is good. I’m very blessed.”

“It was a very scary time for him and his family,” Johnson, added. “[For] his wife and his kids and all of us, and for him to come back strong [is great.]”

WWE star and actor, Reigns said that he is having lots of fun on the set, filming the movie in Hawaii. Johnston and Reigns also share a passion for football and have a friendly rivalry going on. Asked who is a better player, Reigns was quick to respond:
“I love you bro, but [it’s] me!” he said, raising his hand.

Johnston took the opportunity to showcase his truck from the movie he is very proud off. He also talked about hiring his family members for his films.

“When we had the opportunity to showcase my Samoan culture, I thought, ‘Well let me go get my real blood,’” he explained. “And, I went out and got Roman Reigns, but he had to earn the part. He sent his audition tape in like everybody else. And once he sent it in, I went, ‘Okay good, he doesn’t suck! I think he has potential.’”
“We cast him and he pops in the movie,” Johnson added. “It’s a very personal movie to me for many, many reasons but the idea that I could bring in my own family and go back to Samoa … it’s crazy.”

5 WWE Wrestlers Who Should Follow Dwayne Johnson and John Cena’s Footsteps to Hollywood

Two of the biggest WWE wrestlers, Dwayne Johnson and John Cena, have also become huge names in Hollywood. Roman Reigns

Roman is the one who should definitely follow Dwayne Johnson and John Cena’s example when it comes to Hollywood. He is quite close to The Rock, which can be very helpful. In fact, Roman Reigns has a role in the new ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw’. Plus, he has the looks and his promos are becoming better and better.

Bray Wyatt

Bray might be one of the weirdest WWE characters so far, but no one can argue his talent. He has outstanding promos and he is unbelievable in his pre-taped vignettes. Where we see him are probably horror films if he ever decides to transition to the big screen. Bray’s acting skills definitely set him apart from his fellow wrestlers.

Triple H

Triple H has had his presence on the screen playing a role in ‘Blade III’ and ‘The Chaperone’. He has got everything he needs to make it into Hollywood, including the looks. Moreover, people seem to like him and he has appeal outside of the WWE world. Triple H is best and the only wrestler who can cut a 20-minute live promo.

Dolph Ziggler isn’t only an excellent WWE wrestler, but also a very famous stand-up artist. He seems to be very successful outside the WWE ring and has even acted in ‘Countdown’. He has all it takes to succeed in Hollywood, such as the ability to talk, charisma, and looks. He has a huge potential of becoming the next Hollywood star.

The Miz

Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ Reached Out to WWE’s Roman Reigns When He Heard That He Went into Remission

We all know that Dwayne Johnson is a sweetheart. And he proved that to us once again when he reached out to Roman Reigns when he heard that he went into remission.

Roman Reigns announced earlier this week that he has good news, his cancer had gone into remission. He posted on his social ‘We hit a home run’ and ‘The good news is, I’m in remission Y’all!’.

The Rock also wrote on his Twitter: ‘His Leukemia’s in remission!’ Roman is Dwayne’s cousin and he also said about him that his strength in this battle inspired their whole family, as well as millions around the world. He also shared that he can’t wait for him to return to the ring. He said that he watched the announcement video over and over again and that he is so happy for him and his family.

It’s been 10 years after the initial diagnosis of Roman Reigns leukemia. But only in October, he was forced to give up his WWE Universal Championship because his leukemia had returned. He tearfully went to the ring to announce the crowd that he can’t fulfill his role and that he now must fight that awful disease.

But now that he is in remission, we can’t wait to see what he does next and we are also so happy that he is on a path of recovery.

Top 10 Salaries of WWE Wrestlers

Watching WWE superstars performing their amazing stunts in and around the ring has often made people wonder how much they make. The answer to that question is somewhat complicated.

First of all, WWE never releases to the public the information about their superstars’ salaries. It has been a long-standing company policy and it isn’t changing any time soon. That being said, we can make a pretty accurate assumption from bits and details let out.

WWE wrestlers earn their money from several income streams. The most obvious is their contract with the organization, but they also receive money from sales of all personalized items, like action figures and T-shirts. Appearances on comic conventions also bring some cash.

As their clout within WWE increases and their popularity with the fans increases, they can earn additional bonuses, like a percentage of gate sales and, for the top tier performers, a cut of pay-per-view income. They also have significant perks, like first-class air travel or personal busses for tours.

Bray Wyatt

2018 Salary: $470,000
Net worth: $800,000
Bonuses/perks: Economy/coach air travel, hotel, rental cars

the Eater of Worlds has earned a significant pay rise compared to the last year when he only made $245,000.

Roman Reigns

2018 Salary: $550,000
Net worth: $1.0 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: undisclosed percentage of merchandise sales, economy/coach air travel, hotel, rental cars

The salary Roman Reigns receives as the winner of the WWE Championship and the United States Champion doesn’t seem much, and we are sure he will negotiate a far better deal for the next year.

Kevin Owens

2018 Salary: $950,000
Net worth: 2.5 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: economy/coach air travel, hotel, rental cars

Kevin Owens is among the rising stars of the WWE and his earnings are sure to increase in the following years.

Seth Rollins

2018 Salary: $950,000
Net worth: 3.0 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: first-class air travel, 1.5% of merchandise profits, hotel, rental cars

If it wasn’t for the injury he had, Seth Rollins would already be making six figures.

The Miz

2018 salary: 1.2 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: undisclosed percentage from merchandise sales, first class air travel
Net worth: 6 million dollars

With the Miz, we are now entering the heavy-hitters domain, where salaries exceed one million.

Big Show

2018 Salary: 1.25 million dollars
Net worth: 20 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: first-class air travel, upgraded hotel stays, private business

Big Show has been around for a long time and for the last decade, he has earned six figures from WWE every year.

The Undertaker

2018 Salary: 2.25 million dollars
Net worth: 17.5 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: first-class air travel, hotel upgrades, undisclosed pay-per-view bonus when he’s in the main event, 2% merchandise sales

The Undertaker has become a household name through WWE, so his high position on this list isn’t a surprise.

Triple H

2018 Salary: 2.8 million dollars
Net worth: 25 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: stock options, private jet, limited travel and appearances, pay-per-view bonuses, 5% merchandise profits

We don’t get to see Triple H in the ring much these days, as he is transitioning into his new corporate role as Senior VP in charge of talents.

Brock Lesnar

2018 Salary: 6.0 million dollars
Net worth: 21 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: private jet use, hotel upgrades, undisclosed merchandise bonus, pay-per-view bonus

Many people think that Brock Lesnar is overpaid, but considering how many fans come to see him fight, that simply isn’t true.

John Cena

2018 Salary: 9.5 million dollars
Net worth: 35 million dollars
Bonuses/perks: private jet use, 4 stars or better hotel where available, 3.0% of merchandise sales, the highest pay-per-view bonus in company

And on top is naturally John Cena, one of the most popular WWE superstars in history. As he slowly moves to acting, his career in WWE is winding down, but he will still earn considerable money from it for the rest of his life.

Roman Reigns Teaming Up for a Movie – Playing Dwayne Johnson’s Brother

We are used to seeing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on a small screen or in a cinema. He is one of the most popular actors working today, and definitely, he is the most popular WWE fighter working as an actor. We know him from various movies and tv, maybe the most prominent is “Fast and Furious” and “Ballers”.

The Rock announced that his WWE colleague Roman Reigns will join him in the spinoff of “Fast and Furious” called “Hobbs and Shaw”. The movie will premier in the August this year. In the August 2018 Reigns became WWE universal champion after defeating Brock Lesnar. Few months after he announced that he battles leukemia for the second time.

Anyway, the movie was announced on Rock`s Instagram profile. Dwayne Johnson said that he is really excited to work with his colleague and cousin on the movie for the first time. He expressed his delight with Reigns positive mindset that will surely be something that will help him return to the ring. In the end, he said that he enjoys filming on the Samoan islands from where his ancestors are.

On his Instagram profile, Roman Reigns expressed his gratitude towards Dwayne and the rest of the crew, saying that he considers this a “Family Healing”. As we said, the movie “Hobbs and Shaw”, which starts Johnson and Leati Joseph Anoa`I (Roman Reigns), plus Jason Statham, will premiere in August 2019.

Roman Reigns was supposed to fight WWE Legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at WrestleMania

Roman Reigns was set to square off against his WWE legend cousin The Rock at WrestleMania 35, before he was unfortunately and shockingly diagnosed with leukemia.

The WWE Universe was stunned in October when he revealed his first battle against the disease 11 years ago, and that the cancer unfortunately returned.

The popular “Big Dog” then relinquished the Universal Championship before leaving wrestling indefinitely to receive treatment and get healthy.

Dwayne Johnson allegedly planned to win the Royal Rumble next year, and then fight Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in New York, according to WrestleVotes. This is not going to be the case now, which does not mean that The Great One is completely out of WrestleMania.

WrestleVotes had this to say on their twitter page: “Rumble tidbit: Plan at one point was for The Rock to win the Royal Rumble & face Roman Reigns at Mania. That’s obviously not happening. Can Rock still win it & face Lesnar? I guess. Depends what kind of agreement Rock and WWE have. Once plans changed, Rock may have reconsidered.”

The Rock did recently reveal his plans and wishes to return to the ring at one point. The “People’s Champion” said:
“I can’t wait to get back into a WWE ring. Everybody always asks me what’s it like being in a WWE ring and I always tell them, there’s a lot of celebrities and athletes too, I say there’s nothing like it.There’s nothing like [being] inside a WWE ring because there’s a certain live crowd acumen, there’s great connective tissue that’s second to none. That was always, and will always be the best part of my job when it comes to wrestling, whether I’m wrestling a match or just giving a promo. That connection with the audience, there’s nothing like it.”

The Rock was thefavorite to win the Royal Rumble Match this year, and now has the sixth best odds at winning on January 27 at the Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.RAW superstar Drew McIntyre is the favorite with 2/1 odds, followed by Braun Strowman’s 3/1, The Miz stands at 7/2, Seth Rollins is currently at 4/1 and AJ Styles’s chances are 8/1.

Roman Reigns and Dwayne Johnson are not biological cousins, but rather they share a very special family bond through their shared Samoan heritage.

Their relation has roots in Reigns’ grandfather Reverend Amituana’iAnoa’Ideclaring Peter Maivia, Johnson’s grandfather, as his blood brother. Bonds like this one hold a very deep meaning within the proud Samoan culture.

Roman Reigns’ Best and Worst Moments of the WWE Universal Championship Rule

Roman Reigns had six attempts to capture the WWE Championship title, but he failed to do so. He had two defeats against Brock Lesnar before he managed to get to the final goal. However, his reign didn’t last long due to Leukemia problems, which surprised many WWE fans.

Reigns was ruling the pro-wrestling industry for 64 days, and his feud with Braun Strowman will be down in the books as one of the best. However, it is time to revisit Reign’s rule and remind ourselves of the best and the worst moments he had.

One Night After Winning the Title

Who would have thought that we would watch a S.H.I.E.L.D reunion on RAW? After Reigns successfully defended his Universal Championship Title against Finn Balor, Mr. Monster in the Bank Braun Strowman cashed in his MITB contract on Reigns. With the familiar music starting in the background, the fans could see Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins with the same black attire familiar to everyone. The trio literally destroyed Strwoman who ended thrown through the announce table.

Hell in a Cell against Braun Strowman

Only the biggest rivals have the opportunity to show the crowd who is better in a Hell in a Cell match. While the wrestlers are doing their best to beat the opponents, this is a true treat for the fans who get to enjoy a hardcore clash. Several feuds and rivalries are ended with this kind of matches.

Although Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman were the ones fighting, it was their allies that got more attention. Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler’s fall of the cell really took the breath away from the fans. Mick Foley was the special guest referee, but even he couldn’t save it for Roman. In the end, it was Lesnar who came out victorious.

Universal Championship Defenses on RAW

Kevin Owens was the last Universal Champ who defended his title on Monday Night RAW. After that UC matches became exclusive pay-per-view only. However, Reigns promised to defend his title, and his first opponent was Finn Balor. General Manager of RAW Baron Corbin betted against the Big Dog, but to his disappointment, Reigns emerged as a winner.

The S.H.I.E.L.D overshadowed the Universal Title

Although fans must be thrilled to see the popular wrestlers reunited, it overshadowed Reigns’ success, and the belt over his shoulder looked meaningless as the trio was getting prepared to face off one of the Dogs of War in non-title matches on RAW. The reunion could have been postponed allowing Reigns to enjoy and defend his title first.

The most shocking revelation happened on RAW. Roman Reigns stepped into the ring, and he broke character. He said that his name is Joe and he has been battling leukemia for the past 11 years. Because of the issues, he had to give up on his Universal Championship. It would be a small thing to say that everyone was shocked.

Reigns left his title in the middle of the ring, and then he left. His brothers from the team showed up, and they did the famous fist bump, perhaps for the last time. This was one of the most emotional moments of RAW, and the company shared a backstage video of superstars supporting and consolidating Joseph Anoa’i.

Roman Reigns has been one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, but his short rule was ended abruptly. The fans were hoping to see him go on and on to become one of the greatest, but that will not happen. With a lot of ups and downs during his reign, Roman has one battle he needs to win, and it will be the toughest battle of his life.
