Trump: Obama was grossly incompetent

/

Trump later thanked Obama and Biden on Twitter, where he wrote that their actions just helped his campaign.

Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, stated that his predecessor Barack Obama was very incompetent. He said that as a response to Obama’s indirect criticism, that he does not know how to manage the country during a crisis.

On Saturday, Obama said that this pandemic, more than anything else, showed how many in public office don’t know what they are doing. And he added that some of them even don’t pretend to know.

After Obama’s speech, which Trump didn’t see, he only said that Obama was an incompetent president.

But Obama never directly mentioned Trump in his speech, but the current president is still trying to prove himself better than the previous president Obama.

Trump attacks Obama a lot, just like he attacked him and Joe Biden last week.

President Trump claimed that Obama and Biden knew that the FBI was investigating Michael Flynn, a former National Security Advisor. The latter later admitted in 2017 that he lied to the FBI about talks with the Russian ambassador to the United States.

Recently, the state’s attorney, William Barr, dismissed the case against Flynn, but the federal judge to whom the case was assigned could pronounce a verdict.

Trump accuses the previous administration of spying on Flynn, a member of his election committee, of compromising his campaign, which Trump called “Obamagate,” alluding to the Watergate affair, when the seat of the Democratic Party was eavesdropped on during the term of Republican President Richard Nixon.

He called the investigation against Flynn “the biggest political deception in history”, in an interview with Fox News.

“It’s all Obama to you. It’s all Biden. These people are corrupt. The whole thing is corrupt, and we caught them,” Trump said.

Trump later thanked Obama and Biden on Twitter and wrote that their actions were helping his campaign. He also said that they are the reason why he is in the White House.

Trump has also repeatedly pointed out that Obama is partly responsible for the crisis caused by the coronavirus, due to the inadequate response to the swine flu epidemic.

How Will Coronavirus Pandemic Affect Donald Trump and the Upcoming Elections?

/

Even though the global pandemic of coronavirus is in full swing in the United States, it can’t be said that people forgot the upcoming elections. It looks like that both parties are perfectly aware of what awaits them in days after the pandemic is not as dangerous. There are a couple of facts that could provide us with an idea of what we can expect from the upcoming elections. Now, we are going to present them to you. Let’s see what we know so far.

Source:bbc.com

Who is Going to Rival Biden?

One of the commonest things related to the elections in the United States are rumors about candidates. Since we know that Donald Trump is going to go after the second mandate, it leaves us with the question of who will be his main rival. As you probably know, Joe Biden is most likely a candidate from the Democratic party. However, there are rumors about other potential candidates. Stacey Abrams, the former state representative of Georgia gave an interview to the “Elle” where she stated that she considers herself to be a good running mate for Joe Biden. The second option is Amy Klobuchar, the Minnesota senator said that Biden knows what is important for a proper vice president and that he is going to be the one that will make a final decision. Other possible candidates are Gretchen Whitmer, Kamala Harris, and Catherine Cortez Masto.

Biden Still Struggles to Break Through

Source:vox.com

Just think about how many times have you heard about Joe Biden in the last couple of days or weeks. Well, not so much. The reason is that he is outside the national debate related to the global pandemic of COVID-19. Naturally, in the meantime, he became the main candidate to oppose Donald Trump in the future elections and won several primaries. However, all of that is going unnoticed since the pandemic started about a month ago. Since Biden is not elected in any position, he is struggling to present his opinion to the public. It’s not because he doesn’t want to. Moreover, his campaign is organized on all of the major networks in the United States. But his voice is not so loud in this situation. He probably waits for the whole situation to be over in his home in Delaware. It looks like we will hear much more from him after this situation is resolved.

The Protests

As you are probably aware, there are a high number of protests that are occurring in all of the US. Michigan, Texas, Ohio, Maryland, Kentucky, etc. The protesters pointed out that the Second Amendment of the US constitution is under attack since the global pandemic started. Mike Pence, the Vice President of the United States stated that the President wanted to encourage the Governors of these states to find the best solution so all of the US could back to work. It looks like President Donald Trump knew exactly what he was doing. That way he is able to prove that he wanted for the country to be open. Furthermore, he stated that he is aware that some of the Governors got it carried away with the measures and that he will make sure that the situation is going to be better than it is.

Did Donald Trump Lose the Public’ Favor?

Source:nbcnews.com

During the early days of the pandemic in the United States, President Donald Trump had a jump of his popularity to the level that has never before experienced during his presidency. People supported the measures he proclaimed. However, it looks like the situation is not the same as it was in the beginning. According to a poll done by NBC-Wall Street, they’ve obtained some of the thoughts from the public.

2/3 of the respondents said that the President didn’t think too much about the pandemic in the beginning. This was really close to the Pew poll, which said that around 65% of the respondents said that the President was too slow to see the danger that is caused by a coronavirus pandemic in the United States. Around 34% said that the response to the pandemic was quick enough. Looks like the main reason for the decline of his popularity was a high number of deaths caused by the pandemic in the United States.

The Bottom Line

We’ve presented you with the latest occurrences that could tell us what we can expect from the upcoming Presidential election. There are two conclusions that could be taken from these. It looks like the public opinion about the President is back at where it was before the whole situation started. The second one is that Joe Biden, even though he is struggling to speak to the public, is the candidate from the Democratic party. It looks like we still have a lot of uncertainties about the elections, however, the picture is much clearer than it was before.

Obama Would Handle Coronavirus Pandemic Better Than Trump

///

A new poll discovered that a majority of voters would prefer President Barack Obama to run the nation during the coronavirus pandemic than current President Trump. However, Americans remain deeply divided over their chosen leadership amidst the outbreak that has spread to more than 400,000 across the country.

According to Politico, 52% of Americans think that Obama would do a better job in the current crisis. Only 38% think that Trump would handle it better in a sample of 1,990 voters. When presented with a choice between Trump and Bide, 44% picked the current president, a sign that doesn’t bode well for the Democratic nominee.

Obama has largely left the public attention since he departed from the Whitehouse but has become more active on social media since the outbreak. He endorsed Senator Elisabeth Warren’s plan for fighting the pandemic and also criticized Trump’s approach, something he rarely does.

Trump has been the target of critics for his slow reaction to the outbreak, something he denies doing. He also had a phone conversation with Biden regarding the handling of the crisis. “I laid out what I thought he should be doing,” Biden commented on the call Tuesday on CNN. “I laid out four or five specific points that I thought were necessary. I indicated that it is about taking responsibility, and being the commander in chief, taking on the responsibility.”

Trump claimed that he had a “wonderful, warm conversation” with Biden.

“It was a very nice conversation,” he added. “He gave me his point of view and I fully understood that.”

Not everyone agrees that Trump is handling the outbreak correctly. The Washington Post recently published a scathing article on the White House’s reaction. “From the Oval Office to the CDC, political and institutional failures cascaded through the system and opportunities to mitigate the pandemic were lost,” the article states.

You Are What You Wear – How Politicians Use Fashion as a Tool to Influence Voters?

Politics and fashion are often treated as two entirely different fields. Of course, fashion is for the divas whereas Politicians are self-actualized and sharp-witted individuals who stand above any specific beliefs and serve the society. However, surprisingly, both these elements are strongly connected with each other. Recent studies have also proved that the way politicians style themselves can make a huge impact on the general public. Obviously, people want their leaders to be down-to-earth and candid enough so that they can better resonate with them.

His love for traditional power suits and red ties reflect stubbornness and inflexibility which definitely are the key elements of his personality. According to analysts, Trump’s adherence to the formal business attires shows lack of innovation and novelty both in his beliefs as well as in his actions.

Joe Biden

Joe Biden’s style is classy, charismatic and above all – very basic. His simple yet elegant fashion taste has inspired millions of his followers worldwide. People consider Biden a common man who is approachable and someone with whom they can easily connect with. Unlike Trump, Biden seems to be more experimental and versatile with his wardrobe. We’ve seen him perfectly carrying suits and ties. Also, he looks amazingly dashing and friendly in his casual attires, hats and jackets. According to analysts, Biden’s candid fashion persona is one of the biggest reasons why he’s amongst one of the most popular American politicians. Who Will Be The Next US President In 2020?

//

Donald Trump has been in the office for only one year, and people are already speculating about his successor. The challengers for the office in 2020 will be many, and we are here to discuss them. During the speech at the Golden Globes, even Oprah Winfrey put herself in the mix. She’s one of many people intrigued by presidential position. Other names include dedicated politicians. Many candidates believe that they have what it takes to replace Donald Trump. Here, you have a list of primary contenders.

2020 presidential election candidates:

9. Mike Pence

Source:qz.com

The current Vice President of the United States may not be the obvious choice for a Republican candidate in 2020, but his chances are actually quite good. In case Trump gets impeached (and the possibility grows larger every day), Pence will automatically become the President. He will then have to, for the rest of the term, persuade the rest of GOP to be their candidate. All things considered, Pence can very well find himself on the ballot in 2020. In case he changes his mind and resigns after his boss is impeached, the presidency will go to the next person on our list.

8. Paul Ryan

Source:CNN.com

As Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Paul Ryan is second in the line of succession in case Donald Trump gets impeached. In order for Ryan to assume the office of the President of the United States, Mike Pence would have to resign. Although seemingly far-fetched, Ryan is a far more acceptable candidate for Republican Party come 2020 elections as a long-time serving member of Congress and established household name, especially compared to Pence, who is considered an outsider by many Republicans.

7. Bernie Sanders

Source:washingtonexaminer.com

In 2016, Sanders was one of Democrat candidates. He fell short that year, but his progressive views have many followers among people. Two years ago he lost to Hillary Clinton but continued his political work through his group Our Revolution. He’s dedicated to discussing health and education issues. His only downside is his age. In 2020 he will be 78, so if he runs for president, he will be the oldest person ever to do so.

Many of his supporters still feel that Bernie was cheated out of the nomination by the Democratic National Committee and that their support for Hillary Clinton was a mistake. Her defeat at the elections proved them right, at least when it comes to who would be a better candidate. According to Jeff Weaver, Bernie’s campaign manager in 2016, he still hasn’t decided if he will run again in 2020 but is strongly considering the option.

6. Joe Biden

Biden is former Vice President during the Barack Obama tenure in White House. As one of his greatest regrets in life, he states the decision not to run for office in 2016. He decided not to run due to death of his son Beau in 2015.

Former senator enjoys popularity and has been in the race in 1987 and 2007, losing on both occasions. Biden who was very critical of Hilary Clinton’s campaign will be 77 in two years.

Biden is viewed as one of the strongest candidates for the Democratic nomination in 2020. He has already started to position himself, but there are quite a few skeletons in his closet when it comes to his voting record in the Senate that could seriously dampen his chances. Most important is his sponsorship for the bankruptcy reform bill that made it harder for people to declare bankruptcy, something many in his party will never forgive him.

5. Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren is Senator from Massachusetts and is a fierce adversary of the current president. She will be the forerunner for Democrat candidate in 2020.

Signs that she will run for office are evident as she is already raising money for her campaign. At the moment she has $12.8 million to her name, which is much more than any other candidate. Same as Sanders she belongs to the left-wing populist.

4. Kirsten Gillibrand

A Senator from New York, Gillibrand is currently at the seat formerly occupied by Hilary Clinton. She gained broad support after advocating against gender impropriety. When the allegations of assault against Al Franken became public, Gillibrand was the first to call for his resignation. She also noted that former president Bill Clinton should have resigned when he was charged with the same.

If she gets to be the one to run against Donald Trump the campaign will be super exciting. Why? Well, Kirsten called for Trump’s resignation when he was charged with assault.

3. Kamala Harris

When she was elected as the Senator of California Kamala was only the second black woman to be elected to the body. She’s in the office for only one year but thanks to her involvement in health and immigration issues she’s being considered for president run.

If she runs for office, she will be the youngest candidate from this list. Kamala Harris also asked for Donald Trump to resign from the office after the harassment claims. She said that his resignation would be in the “best interests of the country.”

2. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

After an article from Washington Post claiming that The Rock could win the elections if he runs for the president went viral, the actor started to consider this option. He’s not a member of any party, and his political stance is unknown, but he stated that he would run for office out of his love for America: “I care deeply about our country, and I care deeply about our people – especially now. Decency matters and being a decent human being matters, and character matters, and leadership matters.”

Johnson works on a tight schedule, so his run in 2020 doesn’t seem likely. But, in 2024? Everything is possible.

1. Oprah Winfrey

Another non-political candidate is Oprah Winfrey. Just like the current president, she has no prior experience, but she is a philanthropist and is dedicated to all the right causes. What works against her is that she’s similarly to Donald Trump also an entertainer. Analysts believe that US public won’t be interested in another president of the same profile.

She is seriously considering launching a campaign, but this doesn’t concern the current president. During one interview at White House POTUS stated: “Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah. Oprah would be a lot of fun. I know her very well. I like Oprah. I don’t think she’s going to run.”
