Why do the Kardashians get brand new iPhones every week?

Every week, the Kardashian-Jenner family members get a brand new iPhone delivered to their mansions.

The executive producer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Farnaz Farjam, says that their usual crew had to take a break from filming thanks to the coronavirus pandemic and the social distancing guidelines.

Since March 19, California residents were ordered not to leave their houses unless there is an essential need.

Because of this, Kris Jenner and Farnaz came to an interesting idea.

The Momager told the girls to capture the footage at home.

Photographers and technicians came to their houses and set up their phones in the right places.

Farnaz revealed that a showrunner in protective gear visits them each Monday to pick up iPhones and drop off the new ones.

Even though it will look a bit different, the Kardashians will not fail to entertain us.

Useful iPhone Apps That You Can Hide

You bought a new (or used) iPhone and decided to go to the Apple App Store to see what was on offer. By clicking on the icon and after a few moments you will see many different applications, divided into several groups, depending on the type and purpose. What we need to know now is which of them are of good quality and which will serve us better than others?

Today, you can find more than one million available apps in the Apple Store. But the good news is that many of these apps are free. When we take a look, that can be good for someone, and not so good news for someone else – especially if you are looking for an application of a certain type and do not know which one to choose from the ones offered.

But don’t worry about it, as we will talk about the best, free iPhone apps below. We know the year is not over yet, but given that we stepped into December already, it’s not a stretch to try to draw the line, not only for this year but of all available and free for iPhone.

1. Popular camera and photo editing apps for iPhone

Snapseed is a type of photo editor that combines what every user wants – simplicity and variety. It can be a very simple tool for uploading photos, adding filters, and finally “exporting” a photo. Novice or casual users may not be comfortable with it so much more.

Still, when you go into the extra options, this is where Snapseed fully demonstrates its power and capabilities. The tool menu is quite rich in options, each serving essentially the same purpose – photosharing.

Cutting, adjusting perspective, changing lines and curves, adding a multitude of effects and filters – Snapseed is the real deal when it comes to changing photos. Another option Snapseed offers is the ability to insert text and other similar effects that make the photo you take look like a real small masterpiece derived from a contemporary art museum.

Sticky Al

Sticky Al is an application entirely designed to edit selfies. Take a selfie or shoot a short video inside the app, after which Sticky Al will remove the wallpaper. Afterwards, you can customize the look, brightness, dimensions and whatever you want to embellish on your face.

Hiding Applications

Why do we hide data, pictures, or videos from our iPhones? It’s very simple. We often leave our phone near our curious friends who want to peek at our phone. Not everything is for everyone else’s eyes, though. These may include some photos, some important business ideas, or videos for internal use only. For example, you can hide your photos by using native or built-in features.

Hide and remove images using third-party built-in features and applications

While many of us like to show photos from our smartphones, there are times when we may want to keep them private.

Perhaps because they are too personal or inappropriate. Luckily, there are some alternatives that iPhone users can check. This is especially important if you have small kids or curious friends who frequently like to use your mobile. If you take a look at techopera.com, you can find out breaking news about iPhone models, features and apps. As for the methods of hiding pictures – there are few.

It can be done that natively, but you can use applications designed to maintain your media aswell. Let’s look at how to do it.

Concealing photos on with the help of apps

Maybe the usual methods we use to hide photos on our iPhones, are not the safest. Fortunately, numerous applications allow us to conceal pictures or videos, making them unreachable to sniffing eyes.

Most allow us to set access codes and additional safety actions, making photos difficult for insight.

Private Photo Vault

This option lets you lock images. Therefore, only you or someone you allow can have access. The application, as well as your albums, can be protected with a password. You may even require a lock code to keep anyone out of your reach without your knowledge. Importing or exporting images are also possible from the Photos app.

They can be synchronized with iTunes, send an email or a message, as well as other actions. The app has a browser version that allows users to download photos straightway to the app. Most importantly, if some none-trusted individual tries to enter, the application will inform you about it. It can even supply you with a photo and GPS location of the individual who wanted to break into your images.

2. Applications for changing videos and animations

The first batch of the best free iPhone apps is the bunch of the best and free video and animation changing apps. With them, you will be able to modify your videos, GIFs and Live photos in a very simple, high quality and fast way.

Moodelizer is one of the easiest apps for iOS. You will only need one finger to use this application. It is an application for creating custom music backgrounds for your newly created video clips.

You just choose the genre after which you need to select “playback”. Swiping up increases the intensity of the music, while swiping right adjusts variations. Even just “snooping” on audio capabilities is quite fun, but the real purpose of the application is reflected when you create the video. Fun and useful, especially if you often make video clips and want to put your own music background with them.

Clips is another video-changing app, but different from other similar apps because it tends to share content on social media. For this reason, the application includes features such as “widescreen”, standard subtitles and some other options that all in all give one a good application for editing and video recording.

You can record straight into the application or upload pre-existing video clips. In any case, you can add stickers or different texts to these clips that may appear when the subject of the video speaks. You can also apply different filters to make it all the more fun and colourful. If you have an iPhone X and use this app – all the better because Apple here has prepared an extra treat for you in the form of animated 3D selfie scenes.

3. Apps for sketching and designing

WhatTheFont is an application ideal for anyone who works as a newsletter designer. If you are dealing with this kind of business (or if you just love to put up unusual newsletters) – then this app will be ideal for you because of its ease of use and yet a wealth of options.

Canva is a graphic design tool for all those … well, for those who don’t plan on designing newsletters. Thanks to its options and capabilities, Canva is good enough and adequate to use for all “casual” users who are planning to make, for example, a poster.

The templates are complex and categorized in a fairly intuitive and “smart” way, which is why Canva is not only good for designing regular posters, greeting cards or flyers but can also be used to create cards, logos and business presentations.

Tips for Fixing an Unresponsive iPhone Screen

When you use your phone for work or even just browsing the web, it can be frustrating when the system glitches. One of the most common issues that iPhone owners face is an unresponsive screen. You might be scrolling through Instagram or sending a text when your screen suddenly freezes — tapping the screen without results, you grow increasingly worried and irritated.

So, what can you do in this situation? This guide will outline some of the main steps you can take to fix an unresponsive iPhone screen. While these tricks might not work for everyone, they can provide a simple solution to a seemingly daunting problem.

Clean the screen

While it may seem too simple, some iPhones become unresponsive when the screen is dirty. This may the case if you took your phone outdoors or used your phone while eating. Use a microfiber cloth to thoroughly clean the screen.

You might need to use a slightly damp cloth for more stubborn grime. Just be sure to avoid wiping your screen with a wet cloth. Once you clean the surface, wash and dry your hands before trying to use the iPhone again.

Restart the phone

Img source: gadgethacks.com

When your iPhone screen suddenly stops working, you might just need to force reboot the phone. To do so, hold down the lock and home buttons at the same time. Your phone screen will then turn black before displaying the Apple logo. Give the phone a moment before entering your password and using the device.

If your phone screen still isn’t responsive, you might need to try a factory reset. You should only do this at home if you have all of the data from your iPhone backed up. Since you are unable to use the screen, you will likely need to perform the factory reset through iTunes by clicking the “restore” button.

Address physical damage

Consider whether your iPhone screen is frozen due to physical damage. Is your screen cracked? Even if it was working well for months, it could be experiencing issues now.

If you recently dropped your phone, there could be internal damage causing your screen to glitch. Determine whether the phone could have water damage or if the outside temperature is too hot or cold. All of these factors could cause immediate or delayed damage.

If you suspect the phone is glitching due to extreme temperature, then place the phone inside and allow it to return to room temperature. For water damage, pat the phone dry with a towel and refrain from turning it on. You should bring the device to a technician to determine the exact cause, as it can be difficult to diagnose the issue at home without causing further damage.

See a professional

When in doubt, you should bring your iPhone to a professional technician. These professionals can inspect the hardware, spotting physical damage that could be causing your screen to be unresponsive. They can also check the software to determine if your phone is glitching due to a calibration or update issue.

Whether you need iPhone X screen replacement or a factory reset for your iPhone 7, they will provide the best solution for your device. If they find severe damage, they may also recommend replacing your phone completely.

An unresponsive iPhone screen is a common issue, resulting from software glitches and physical damage. While simple tricks like cleaning and restarting the device can often help, you might need to take the phone to a professional for more in-depth assistance.

By doing so, you can ensure that you get to the root of the issue. Your phone will be up and running in no time.

Is China Really to Blame for Slowing iPhone Sales?

In January 2019, iPhone maker Apple made the surprise decision to cut its sales forecast. It caused the price of Apple shares to drop, and the company is believed to have lost billions of dollars as a result.

In a note to investors, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that slow iPhone sales and the revised sales forecast are because of a sales slump in China. “While we anticipated some challenges in key emerging markets, we did not foresee the magnitude of the economic deceleration, particularly in Greater China,” explained Cook.

The Chinese economy has been affected by trade relations with the United States and Apple also suspects that some Chinese consumers have shied away from buying an iPhone because Apple is an American brand.

China is a major region for companies like Apple. There are more than 800 million Internet users in the country, and 98% of them are on mobile, so there is a huge potential market. However, analysts and critics of Apple disagree that slow sales in China are the only reason why Apple has lowered its sales forecast, saying that there are more factors causing consumers to buy fewer phones from Apple.

Apple is Being Priced Out of the Chinese Market

Img source: pexels.com

It is true that Chinese consumers are buying fewer smartphones than before. A study on Chinese consumer buying habits, published by (Tencent-backed) research firm Penguin Intelligence, surveyed 70,000 Chinese smartphone owners on their plans for buying a new smartphone. Of those surveyed, around half said that they would purchase a phone once every two years. However, just 16% of iPhone owners in 2017 said they would buy a new phone each year (down from 27.8% in 2016), compared to 23.5% of Android owners (down from 34.7% in 2016).

Apple is hardest hit by the decline in Chinese smartphone sales, and it has the least brand loyalty. One reason for this is that the Apple iPhone is a lot more expensive than homegrown, Chinese competitors. When the OnePlus 6 launched in China in 2018, its starting price was 3,199 Yuan (approximately $503), and its hardware specs of 6GB of RAM, an octa-core processor, and 20MP camera are more powerful than the iPhone XS Max specs of 4GB of RAM, hexa-core processor, and 12MP camera. However, iPhone XS Max launch prices in China began at $1,397 which is almost triple the price of the OnePlus 6. In China, the iPhone was also nearly $300 more expensive than in the United States, where the iPhone XS Max was launched at $1,099.

Refurbished Phones Are a More Affordable Alternative

Img source: pexels.com

It’s not just China where pricing is causing a decline in iPhone sales. In Western regions, such as the United States, brand new Apple iPhones are losing out to more affordable alternatives. Apple is still very popular in the West, and consumers love the quality of the phones and how easy they are to use. However, not everyone can afford to buy a brand new iPhone which is why many have begun to look at refurbished phones.

Refurbished phones offer the same quality as a brand new phone and have been tested to confirm that they are in working order. Consumers can also buy refurbished iPhones in excellent cosmetic condition (refurbished grade A) which means it will look like new and the only difference is the price. There are big savings to be had on refurbished phones, and you can see this by looking at the cost of a refurbished iPhone X unlocked. Prices of a refurbished iPhone X start at around $700, with some unlocked models available for $669. This is more than $300 less than the $999 launch price from November 2017. Although the unlocked version of the iPhone X (not locked to a cell phone carrier) are more expensive than locked versions (locked to carriers like Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T), shoppers could still potentially save hundreds of dollars by buying refurbished than brand new from Apple.

Apple Fails to Find Success in Emerging Markets

Img source: pexels.com

With the price of an iPhone causing sales to decline in major regions such as China and the United States, it’s little surprise that in emerging markets, which are more price sensitive, Apple is failing to find success. While there is some interest in premium handsets in emerging markets like India and the African continent, consumers have a different idea of premium pricing than what you may expect. To many in these regions, a premium smartphone is one that costs around $400. The iPhone, which may cost more than $1,000, is way above that.

Emerging markets provide a brilliant opportunity for Apple. Africa has one of the fastest-growing smartphone markets in the world, and over the past five years, the region’s annual mobile usage has increased by 65%. The average selling price of a smartphone in Africa is $150, so smartphones like the iPhone XS, which cost more than $1,500 in the region are unable to gain much traction.

There are lots of things that Apple could do to increase iPhone sales, such as offering more powerful specs and innovative features. However, it’s the price that may make the biggest difference as mobile markets all over the globe are in Apple iPhones, but at a much lower price.
