Hobbs & Shaw - Page 2

Dwayne Johnson wanted Jason Momoa as his brother in the new “Fast and Furious” spinoff

Both of these famous actors lived in Honolulu for a time, are around 6’4″ tall, and have starred in hugely successful franchises. Both are also ripped as hell, as well as strong. They could have also been staring right next to each other in the “Hobs and Shaw” movie that is set to come this year.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson wanted to share the screen with his colleague Jason Momoa. More precisely, he wanted Momoa to be his brother on the screen. The Rock posted the following on his Instagram page: “I and Momoa tried hard to get him in this movie to play my brother, but his schedule was too packed”.

The blockbuster will also star Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby, and Helen Mirren. More members from the Hobbs family will be played by WWE star Roman Reigns and former American football linebacker Josh Mauga.

A lil’ HOBBS & SHAW exclusive. THE HOBBS BROTHERS. In Samoa 🇼🇸 we have a word that means everything to us – AIGA – which means FAMILY. My name is Luke Hobbs and these are my four brothers. My family. My aiga. They all live in Samoa where they own and operate “Hobbs Customs” – a former illegal chop shop, now a legit business where they build and deliver vintage custom cars all over the world. In Samoa we have another saying which is “Ou te le tau to’atasi ae matou te tau fa’atasi” which means, When you fight one, you fight us ALL. The villain in the film is played by Idris Elba, while Vanessa Kirby plays Shaw’s sister Hattie. Even though the original Fast and Furious cast has criticized the spinoff and there was a lawsuit from producer Neal H. Moritz, it hasn’t stopped the production to carry on. Besides ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, the fans of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise are eagerly waiting for Fast & Furious 9 in 2020. Even though the ninth film was supposed to be released this year, it was postponed due to the production of ‘Hobbs & Shaw’. Dwayne Johnson is really loving New Mexico

Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ is currently filming a movie in New Mexico, and he is really loving it there.

He said that you can feel the spirit down there because the place is very spiritual. And that the mana is really there. He also said that he is enjoying the rides down New Mexico. He said all of that while he was driving his truck in New Mexico.

He was filming some of the scenes for the new Jumanji movie in the Four Corners area.

And before that, he was filming scenes for the Jumanji movie in the jungles of Hawaii, and somewhere totally different, snowy mountains of Alberta, Canada.

This movie is expected to be very successful because the last one was also, it grossed over $62 million worldwide. And the critics were so good. So this new sequel needs to be even better to beat those records.

The movie will hit the theatres on December 13th, 2019.
Dwayne Johnson was recently at the Time 100 gala, where he was titled as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2019. And he totally deserved it.

He has another movie that will hit the theatres in a few months, a ‘Fast and Furious’ spinoff, ‘Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’. This movie will be in the theatres on August 2nd, 2019.

The Rock is very busy and he is working very hard every day on many acting projects. But besides acting, he is also a producer.
There is just one thing that Dwayne won’t do at the moment, even many would like to see that happen, and that is run for president.

There Is a Very Special Moment to Dwayne Johnson in The Hobbs and Shaw Trailer

There was a lot of talk about the new Hobbs & Shaw trailer at CinemaCon. Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’, Jason Statham and David Leitch were talking about their new upcoming movie, Hobbs & Shaw.

They’ve tried to explain the audience why this movie is going to be so good. Hobbs & Shaw is a Fast and Furious spinoff and it is set to hit the theatres in August. This movie is a combination of cultures that both Johnson and Statham are familiar with. And Dwayne revealed that in the trailer there is one moment that is very dear to his heart.

Dwayne Johnson revealed what was the exact moment and he said that in the trailer there’s a moment where the energy changes. He asked the audience are they familiar with the term Haka, but then he said that they don’t do it in this movie. He said that they do something a little bit different, something called the ‘Siva Tau’. That’s the Samoan version of the Haka. In the movie and in the trailer and for the very first time in a blockbuster movie they showcase their two cultures, England and Samoa. And they are very proud of that.

It is not strange that they’ve incorporated that in the movie, because lately there is a tendency of incorporating a diverse variety of cultures. And why is that important to Dwayne Johnson, because he is both black and Samoan and he is very proud of that. He is very proud of his roots and about his family’s history. He presented his culture and race in wrestling and now he is doing it on the movie screens. And Hobbs & Shaw is his first movie where he does that.

He stated that it will be the very first time that Samoa culture is featured in a movie. He also said that there will, of course, be explosions, special effects and everything one can expect from a Fast and Furious movie, but in this movie, there will also be that special something. There will be mana, the spirit that Dwayne, Jason lived.

The energy on the panel, between Dwayne and Jason, was epic. They were joking with each other, and they were talking about that ‘too close hugging’. They’ve said that Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs have a competitive relationship, but they still are family. And the whole concept of family is a big deal in the Fast and Furious franchise. So, it is clear that the concept will be translated to this spinoff. If you are looking for a movie that has the Fast and Furious vibe, you will definitely get this with Hobbs & Shaw.

And if you are wondering what Siva Tau is, it is a Samoan war dance. And if you can’t wait for the official trailer to be released there is a picture from this trailer shared by Dwayne Johnson. And in that picture, he is doing the Samoan war dance.

With that picture, you can get an idea of what will the whole movie look like, and for the rest you will just need to wait for the official trailer to be released. And when they release the official trailer you will be able to see that special moment that The Rock was talking about, and when you see it, you will see why it is so special for him.

The movie, Hobbs & Shaw is set to hit the theatres on Friday, August 2, and that’s just a couple months away. We are sure that the time will fly away pretty fast, and soon we will be able to see the official trailer and the movie itself.

Josh Brolin and Dwayne Johnson’s Fight on Social Media

Josh Brolin, the Avengers: Endgame star had picked up a social media fight with Dwayne Johnson. They indeed had some fun exchanging threats. Brolin stars as the villain Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while The Rock’s latest project is the upcoming Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, where he plays the part of Hobbs. Both of them are ready to throw down after threatening each other of Instagram.Josh Brolin is extremely excited for Endgame. So, he wanted to share and let everyone know that Thanos is a real threat. Empire Magazine featured two Avengers: Endgame covers over the weekend. On one of the covers is Josh Brolin as the villainous Thanos in his new armor. This is the first look which we had a chance of seeing so far. Plus, it is the best in-depth look of the Mad Titan.

Hence, Brolin shared the photo of the Empire Magazine cover and captioned it by saying: ‘Eat your heart out The Rock. I’m coming for you next, little guy.’ The fans found the caption very interesting, but no one thought that The Rock would see and respond to this post.

Nevertheless, The Rock saw Brolin’s humorous post and responded in a very graphic way to the post by saying: ‘Bring it on RoboCop! I’m shoving all 6 stones right up your ass… and another one just for good measure. Lucky7 Love always, Hobbs.’

The response couldn’t have been greater and we are all eager to see what Bronson will reply back. It’s very obvious where the Infinity Stones reference comes from. This feud seems to be all for the good fun.

Plus, we’re all looking for a spectacle where these two will throw down. Is it possible for Hobbs to take down Thanos in a battle? Many of us are even expecting an artwork featuring The Rock vs. The Mad Titan. That would be great, wouldn’t it? Until that, we’re all eager to see what Bronson will respond to The Rock’s comment. So, head to Josh Brolin’s Instagram account and check his original post.

Dwayne Johnson Uncovers Diet for ‘Fast and Furious’ Spinoff

Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson is ending up work on Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw, the spinoff of the famous franchise. He shared with his fans what he has been eating during filming this movie.

On Saturday, he posted an image of his meal with a label “Meal #5 1/18/19 SAT (Carb depletion).”

“Last meal of the night and carb depleting (shirt comes off in this movie [cheese] [facepalming emoji]) for our final massive battle sequences coming up next week for HOBBS & SHAW — my FAST & FURIOUS spin-off film,” The Rock wrote. “Wanted to bring the HOBBS character in razor sharp condition and shape for this one,” he added.

The famous actor and businessman continued, “The exact science of this diet and training is tough on the old’ system to maintain for four months of filming, but film lasts forever and we get one shot to try and make something iconic for the fans. Then I’ll race everyone to the waffle truck.”

Dwayne Johnson, 46, has been on a particular, disciplined diet for 18 weeks before the beginning of filming Hobbs & Shaw. Since the start of this diet project, Johnson has been informing fans about his results.

“Dialed in & hit the mark. 260lbs of attitude & classy cuss words. After 18 weeks of disciplined diet & intense training, here’s where I landed my carcass for shooting my FAST & FURIOUS spin-off HOBBS & SHAW,” Johnson posted in October 2018. “Always room for improvements, but not too bad for a scarred up surgically repaired Brahma Bull who’s injuries always tell the story.”

Johnson also thanked, and mentioned his coach, Dave Rienzi “for his masterful strategies that’s constantly shifting daily based on how I’m looking/feeling to achieve our goals” and all people who “who support the big picture — my diet, training, health & wellness, balance, consistency, and execution.”

The ex-wrestler and film star added, “Finally, THANKS TO ALL THE FANS. My people out there worldwide… who buy into our grind belief and my philosophy that payin’ our dues are owed on a daily basis. Thanks for rockin’ with me — let’s have some fun and take this HOBBS & SHAW franchise to the next level.”

Hobbs & Shaw will be the first Fast & Furious spin-off with movie stars Johnson as Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw. In this spin-off, Idris Elba is the main villain, and Vanessa Kirby is Shaw`s sister called Hattie. In the movie, we also will watch Eiza Gonzales in the character of the mysterious Madam M.

“We’re either gonna get along, or we get it on. F— gettin’ along, gettin’ it on is way more fun,” The Rock wrote on Instagram this month. “On a biz note, this film has been a fun one to produce, and our [global] audience is gonna have an absolute blast this summer.”

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw airs on Aug. 2, 2019, and Fast & Furious 9 is planned for April 2020.

‘Hobbs & Shaw’: Dwayne Johnson Shared the Most Badass Cast Piccie So Far

2019 will be packed with remarkable blockbusters. However, none matches the masculinity of ‘Hobbs & Shaw’. The Fast and Furious spinoff is scheduled to be released on August 2 and we can’t wait to see it. ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ comes with some of the best and sexiest actors, such as Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson who will fight Idris Elba, who was actually named the sexiest man alive of 2018 by People magazine.

Dwayne Johnson seems to extremely excited about this project and he recently shared a new piccie from the cast which we definitely consider the most badass one so far. He posted the picture on his Instagram and he captioned the photo:

“An exclusive lil’ taste of biggest showdown the summer has ever seenThe Outlaw Lawman, HOBBS.

The International Spy, SHAW.

The Baddest Bad Guy the Fast & Furious franchise has ever had, BRIXTON.

We’re either gonna get along or we get it on.

Fuuuck gettin’ along. gettin’ it on is way more fun.

On a biz note, this film has been a fun one to produce and our world audience is gonna have an absolute blast this summer.”

The photo looks extremely intense and having The Rock and Idris Elba in the same movie, well let’s say that ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ outdid itself.

The Rock plays the Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs who is in alliance with a character played by Statham, Deckard Shaw. This 90-minute guns movie also features Elba, who stars as Brixton, the film’s baddie. They couldn’t have picked a more perfect person to play the villain. The Fast & Furious spin-off will also see Vanessa Kirby as MI6 Operative Hattie Shaw. Plus, having David Leitch direct the show means that we can expect some real quality action. David Leitch directed Atomic Blonde and John Wick.

Take a closer look into the Fast & Furious Spin-off Hobbs & Shaw

We have new information about Hobbs & Shaw, the Fast & Furious spin-off.
The Rock will come back in the roll of Luke Hobbs in the upcoming movie and last Saturday, on December 1 he shared a pic from the set – a very intense, action packed scene. His companion Vanessa Kirby is in the pic too. You can look up the picture on Dwayne Johnson’s instagram account.

The caption of the picture reads: “On Set. HOBBS & SHAW. They always play hard to catch. The ever chivalrous Hobbs told Hattie Shaw (MI6 operative and overall bad ass played by my homegirl [Vanessa Kirby]) we can do this dance one of two ways. We’ll share some tequila and then you’re under arrest and I’m taking you in or…I’m taking you in. Apparently, she felt the tequila would have to wait. For the record, we closed down the streets of London to shoot this massive action sequence and on the first take [Kirby] here takes off like the second coming of Usain Bolt…WHILE WEARING NO SHOES.”

Back in October, The Rock posted an instagram that was the first look at the movie, and it was a picture of him and Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) staring at each other with fierce looks on their faces.
