Game of Thrones

What’s the Game of Thrones Cast Doing Now

Game of Thrones is one of the most popular TV shows of all time, and it ended about one year ago, with a season finale that not many people found very appealing.

Some say that it was a great journey, and that’s our opinion as well, but most of the hardcore fans who also like the books a lot say that the story should’ve played out a lot differently.

Either way, Game of Thrones reached an unbelievable amount of fame and success, and so much money was spent on some of the latest episodes that had the most action, so no matter what the critics have to say, we think that it’s one of the best shows ever made.

A lot of popular actors were hired to fit the roles of the fictional characters in the story, and that’s the beauty and charm of the wonderful Game of Thrones. Actors of all kinds were chosen, some of which aren’t even professionals, and do something completely different for a living.

One of the best examples for this is Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, the world’s most known strongman, who played the role of possibly one of the most remarkable characters in the series, called “The Mountain”.

So, why exactly are we mentioning this? Well, it’s solely because, in today’s article, we are going to talk about the cast of GoT, and what they’re up now that the show is finally over. If you are curious about gaining some insight into this, or you are just a person who likes to follow what some celebrities do, we recommend that you keep on reading until the end. Let’s take a look.

Kit Harington

If you watched GoT, or you’ve read something about it at least once, chances are that you’ve heard about a character named Jon Snow. He is one of the most popular and remarkable characters in the show, and we’re not going to give any spoilers for all of you who haven’t finished the series yet, but he plays a huge role in the story.

Now that Game of Thrones has ended, the 32-year-old acting star will go straight from the snowy north into another dimension of Marvel, hopping on the crew-bus for an upcoming movie called The Eternals.

We are not exactly sure what’s going to be the story of the young Kit Harington in this movie, but we do know that he’s going to play the role of a character called The Black Knight.

Jason Momoa

We all know about this young and amazing actor, a true star known for multiple famous characters that he played in the movie industry. He is mostly known for Aquaman, but those who haven’t seen that movie, you probably saw him in a completely different light, playing the fearsome Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones.

Jason Momoa has a lot of projects going on at the moment, and he isn’t planning to stop with his acting career anytime soon, and some rumors say that he’s going through a physical training once again, probably preparing for a very important role. Not that he wasn’t all shredded before, but you know how actors are, they don’t stop until they reach perfection. If you are interested in learning some more about Momoa and his plans, feel free to visit

Peter Dinklage

Game of Thrones without this guy is simply not the same. The role of Tyrion Lannister is something so important in the show, and Mr. Dinklage had to go through a lot to get everything done perfectly in the complicated storyline of GoT. One of the most amazing actors of all time, undeniable.

Peter is not even close to stopping with his acting career now that GoT is finally finished, but instead, he’s looking to be as engaged as possible in other projects, such as The Angry Birds Movie 2, The Croods 2 and a lot of other smaller projects. If you were a fan of his character in the amazing series, make sure to follow him and support his work in the other smaller projects as well.

Emilia Clarke

The main star of Game of Thrones, also known as Khaleesi, and one of the most attractive female actors of all time. Her sense of humor is great, her acting skills are even better, and her charisma is just out of this world.

Emilia played the most important role in the GoT series, and now when the show is finally over, she wants to settle down for some easier roles which are not even closely as demanding as playing Daenerys.

We expect to see Emilia Clarke in many other amazing roles in the future, but what we know so far is that she will be playing an FBI informant in Above Suspicion, a title that’s based on a true story. Very intriguing, especially if you are into these types of films, so make sure to check her out and support her work, she truly deserves it after what she did for Game of Thrones.

Alfie Allen

Last but not least, Alfie Allen, the guy who played Theon Greyjoy, a character that has a very important role in the GoT storyline, and someone who we think didn’t get enough appreciation for all of their hard work. Alfie Allen is an amazing actor, and since he is so young and talented, his acting career has a lot of opportunities, and we hope to see him once more in a role that was as significant as Theon.

For now, it looks like young Alfie is trying to settle down with a role that’s not as demanding and difficult, so he played the Taika Waititi in the already famous JoJo Rabbit film that came out back on October 18th.

Game of Thrones has truly been an amazing experience for millions of viewers across the entire world, and due to the show being so immersive, a lot of fans got very closely connected with the main stars. This makes them want to follow everything else that they are working on, and our list has more than enough details to know where you need to be if you are looking forward to seeing your favorite actor in another title.

4 TV Show Locations You Should Visit Before You Die

Have you ever sat down on your sofa and had a “what should I watch?” moment? It might surprise you just how often the answer to that question is “something I’ve seen before.”

In an interview with the Huffington Post, psychologist Neel Burton claims that the urge to re-watch old favourites comes from one of life’s most powerful feelings: nostalgia.

“Nostalgia can lend us much-needed context, perspective and direction, reminding and reassuring us that our life is not as banal as it may seem. It also tells us that there have been — and will once again be — meaningful moments and experiences.” He said.

Satisfying your quest for nostalgia, however, doesn’t have to come from sitting in front of a TV screen binge-watching reruns. Instead, you can go out and visit the places that evoke that special feeling within you.

From the Old Town of Dubrovnik where Cersi Lannister took her naked walk of shame to the teaming corridors of Sunnydale High School, these are just a few of the TV’s most famous filming locations that you should visit while you’ve got the chance.

TV Show: Game of Thrones

Location: Dubrovnik, Croatia

For: Medieval Aficionados

The majority of Game of Thrones’ major plot points play out in the fictional city of King’s Landing. Ruled prominently by the power-hungry Lannister family, the capital of the Seven Kingdoms helps to bring to life the world of Westeros like no other setting.

Its big shoes were filled in real life by the Croatian city of Dubrovnik. Its towering city walls and limestone streets made it the perfect setting to replicate writer George RR Martin’s vision.

Playing such a pivotal role in one of the biggest television shows of all time has helped boost tourist numbers to the city by 10%.  As a result, several new tour operators have popped up across the city, although according to ACCESSDubrovnik, there is only one that lets you dress up like your favourite characters from the show.

TV Show: Chernobyl

Location: Visaginas, Lithuania

For: History fanatics

HBO’s popular miniseries Chernobyl was a blow-by-blow retelling of the nuclear power plant disaster that struck Soviet Ukraine in April 1986. The first episode of the show cumulates with Chernobyl’s nuclear station lit up in flames following an explosion in reactor number four.

The plant’s real-life destruction and subsequent nuclear fallout meant that this scene (and several others depicting what life was like in the city of Chernobyl pre-disaster) was filmed some 400 miles north in Visaginas, Lithuania. The Municipality was (and still is) home to Chernobyl’s sister nuclear power plant Ignalina, which was built by the Soviet Union at the same time during the mid-1970s.

Thankfully, Ignalina was decommissioned in 2009 due to safety concerns, which means that visitors can now take guided tours inside the plant.

TV Show: Big Little Lies

Location: Big Sur, California

For: Scenery Lovers

Fans of HBO’s 2017 breakout hit Big Little Lies will recognise Bixby Creek Bridge near Monterey, California from the show’s opening credit montage.

Finished in 1932, the concrete arch soars some 260 feet above the canyon below and has quickly turned into a favourite attraction for photographers and tourists alike.

A further 20-minute drive up highway one will take you to the picturesque Del Monte Beach, which has featured as a hangout spot for the show’s characters in both of its two seasons.

TV Show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Location: Torrance, California

For: 90s Kids

A trip to the Golden State isn’t complete without a visit to the Hellmouth. Sunnydale High School, as it’s known, played host to all manner of ghouls and vampires during its screen time in the popular supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

While the building seemed to meet its dramatic end in season three, it’s in fact still standing in California, where it continues to function as a normal school called Torrance High. Rumour has it that students at the school continue to carry around stakes and crosses just in case they stumble across any creatures of the night (we might have made this up).

Even if you’re not a Buffy fan, there’s still a good reason why the school should be on your hit list if you’re a connoisseur of the silver screen. Its unique architecture and close proximity to several Hollywood studios have seen it be chosen as a filming location for high profile TV shows and movies such as Beverly Hills 90210, She’s All That and Bruce Almighty

Why could the last, 8 season of Game of Thrones be the worst one in the series?

Game of Thrones is currently showing its 8th and final season, however, it looks like that it will not at all live up-to-the huge expectations of its wide and diverse audience. Game of Thrones has been regarded as one of the best TV shows of its generation for years, but the last season could leave the fans very disappointed. This season has already had many problems that every fan could relate to, and anyone who invested hours of their life over the past 10 years has every right to criticize it because of its standards.

Cinematic Errors

The final season gained a lot of controversies because the show is darker, and we do not mean the plot, but the dark cinematic presentation. The 3rd episode called Battle of Winterfell too dark, as even the best full HD screens were worthless against this. Therefore, this might be one of the biggest cinematic error in history, especially because this was supposed to be the best episode in the show. Now, it is the second worst rated episode of the show.

Game of Thrones plot is quite complex, and a ton of characters makes it even more confusing. If you miss a part of a dialogue, you could be in trouble later. However, the story of this season is not nearly up-to-the established mark of the high Game of Thrones standards. The mighty villain of Night King came to an unexpected and disappointing end after 7 seasons of preparing his grand plan. It all seemed rushed and out of place.

Unexpected Ending

The crew and cast of the show have already confessed that an unexpected ending should be expected. Therefore, there is another reason for the fans to be annoyed and disappointed. Most of the fans want Jon Snow to sit on Iron Throne, but nobody can be certain when this show is concerned. The 5th and second to last episode of the final season premiers this Sunday on HBO.
