Fast and Furious spinoff

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ryan Reynolds have matching Tattoos

The world is talking about the new Fast and Furious Spinoff movie, Hobs & Shaw, starring Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Idris Elba. However, a surprise appearance by another big movie star is caused joy among fans. Now, there is another story behind it, and we can just say that imitation is among the sincerest forms of flattery and love.

The brief cameo of Ryan Reynolds in Hobbs & Shaw was a complete surprise that audiences never expected. Now that the hit blockbuster has been in theaters for around a week, the secret is out. Reynolds plays the character of Locke, who is a CIA agent and a former colleague of The Rock’s titular character Hobbs.

To show off their bromance, as well as how much fun and enjoyment he had during their time together in the agency, Lock shows Hobbs a tattoo that he had, one that completely matches his own. In real life, sadly, this is not the case. Johnson has chest tattoos, but Reynolds does not, so this was just a fake tattoo for the movie.

Now, we all know that the pair of actors love to joke around and have fun. They did so on social media as well, where they were poking fun at their shared body art. Reynolds, who is 42, posted a cool shot of the two famous actors while they are pulling back their shirts and showing the tattoos. He wrote the following as the caption:

“I can only imagine how upset I was to discover this.”
Dwayne Johnson, 47, responded, and told his buddy Reynolds that he really looks “cool and se*y.” He wrote:

“You pull your shirt back to reveal our ink, and it looks cool & se*y. I pull my shirt back, and it looks like an indicator that I eat women and children.”

In further comments about their special bond, Reynolds also shared on Instagram a photo of one half of a “best friend” necklace, in which he tagged Johnson. Johnson went in on the fun and shared a different version of that photo, and thanked Ryan Reynolds for his small but interesting cameo in his hit movie.

Johnson wrote: “A #HobbsAndShaw delight when audiences go ape s— with laughs & joy when @vancityreynolds comes on screen as Hobbs’ surprise partner ‘Agent Locke’ of the CIA – who’s known for stabbing bad guys in the chest with a brick. I’ve known this brilliant SOB for years, and we jumped at the opportunity to mash up our tequila and gin chemistry to deliver some magic for the audience. Thanks, RR for helping make our Lil’ spin-off movie, the #1 movie in the world. Fans love it, so we’ve done our job, brother.”

Director of the movie, David Leitch, recently revealed to Vulture how the role of Reynolds changed significantly when he agreed to do the unexpected cameo:

“I reached out to Ryan: ‘Dude, I have this exposition scene with the CIA agent. He’s sending Hobbs and Shaw on the journey. It’s a lot of boring exposition. How would you like to come in and play it?’ And he’s like, ‘I would love to! It’d be so fun,’”. David Leitch has already worked with Reynolds, as he is the director behind the fan-favorite comic book movie Deadpool 2.

Leitch continued saying how much Reynolds “re-crafted” the original Agent Locke character:

“I sent him the pages. Doing what Ryan does best, he really re-crafted them into something special that had a ton of jokes and pop culture references and this weird dynamic of this character who’s kind of quasi-obsessed with Hobbs — that’s all from Ryan’s mind. So without approaching Ryan, we never would have had this gold. He created a character that I was hoping would live in this world that’s a little bit more fun-forward than the other Fast franchise.” Could we have expected anything else form a comedy genius like Reynolds?

Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is now the number one movie in the world, and it has already grossed more than $330 million worldwide. The movie stars Hollywood heavyweights Johnson, Jason Statham, and Idris Elba.

There Is a Very Special Moment to Dwayne Johnson in The Hobbs and Shaw Trailer

There was a lot of talk about the new Hobbs & Shaw trailer at CinemaCon. Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’, Jason Statham and David Leitch were talking about their new upcoming movie, Hobbs & Shaw.

They’ve tried to explain the audience why this movie is going to be so good. Hobbs & Shaw is a Fast and Furious spinoff and it is set to hit the theatres in August. This movie is a combination of cultures that both Johnson and Statham are familiar with. And Dwayne revealed that in the trailer there is one moment that is very dear to his heart.

Dwayne Johnson revealed what was the exact moment and he said that in the trailer there’s a moment where the energy changes. He asked the audience are they familiar with the term Haka, but then he said that they don’t do it in this movie. He said that they do something a little bit different, something called the ‘Siva Tau’. That’s the Samoan version of the Haka. In the movie and in the trailer and for the very first time in a blockbuster movie they showcase their two cultures, England and Samoa. And they are very proud of that.

It is not strange that they’ve incorporated that in the movie, because lately there is a tendency of incorporating a diverse variety of cultures. And why is that important to Dwayne Johnson, because he is both black and Samoan and he is very proud of that. He is very proud of his roots and about his family’s history. He presented his culture and race in wrestling and now he is doing it on the movie screens. And Hobbs & Shaw is his first movie where he does that.

He stated that it will be the very first time that Samoa culture is featured in a movie. He also said that there will, of course, be explosions, special effects and everything one can expect from a Fast and Furious movie, but in this movie, there will also be that special something. There will be mana, the spirit that Dwayne, Jason lived.

The energy on the panel, between Dwayne and Jason, was epic. They were joking with each other, and they were talking about that ‘too close hugging’. They’ve said that Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs have a competitive relationship, but they still are family. And the whole concept of family is a big deal in the Fast and Furious franchise. So, it is clear that the concept will be translated to this spinoff. If you are looking for a movie that has the Fast and Furious vibe, you will definitely get this with Hobbs & Shaw.

And if you are wondering what Siva Tau is, it is a Samoan war dance. And if you can’t wait for the official trailer to be released there is a picture from this trailer shared by Dwayne Johnson. And in that picture, he is doing the Samoan war dance.

With that picture, you can get an idea of what will the whole movie look like, and for the rest you will just need to wait for the official trailer to be released. And when they release the official trailer you will be able to see that special moment that The Rock was talking about, and when you see it, you will see why it is so special for him.

The movie, Hobbs & Shaw is set to hit the theatres on Friday, August 2, and that’s just a couple months away. We are sure that the time will fly away pretty fast, and soon we will be able to see the official trailer and the movie itself.

Dwayne Johnson Uncovers Diet for ‘Fast and Furious’ Spinoff

Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson is ending up work on Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw, the spinoff of the famous franchise. He shared with his fans what he has been eating during filming this movie.

On Saturday, he posted an image of his meal with a label “Meal #5 1/18/19 SAT (Carb depletion).”

“Last meal of the night and carb depleting (shirt comes off in this movie [cheese] [facepalming emoji]) for our final massive battle sequences coming up next week for HOBBS & SHAW — my FAST & FURIOUS spin-off film,” The Rock wrote. “Wanted to bring the HOBBS character in razor sharp condition and shape for this one,” he added.

The famous actor and businessman continued, “The exact science of this diet and training is tough on the old’ system to maintain for four months of filming, but film lasts forever and we get one shot to try and make something iconic for the fans. Then I’ll race everyone to the waffle truck.”

Dwayne Johnson, 46, has been on a particular, disciplined diet for 18 weeks before the beginning of filming Hobbs & Shaw. Since the start of this diet project, Johnson has been informing fans about his results.

“Dialed in & hit the mark. 260lbs of attitude & classy cuss words. After 18 weeks of disciplined diet & intense training, here’s where I landed my carcass for shooting my FAST & FURIOUS spin-off HOBBS & SHAW,” Johnson posted in October 2018. “Always room for improvements, but not too bad for a scarred up surgically repaired Brahma Bull who’s injuries always tell the story.”

Johnson also thanked, and mentioned his coach, Dave Rienzi “for his masterful strategies that’s constantly shifting daily based on how I’m looking/feeling to achieve our goals” and all people who “who support the big picture — my diet, training, health & wellness, balance, consistency, and execution.”

The ex-wrestler and film star added, “Finally, THANKS TO ALL THE FANS. My people out there worldwide… who buy into our grind belief and my philosophy that payin’ our dues are owed on a daily basis. Thanks for rockin’ with me — let’s have some fun and take this HOBBS & SHAW franchise to the next level.”

Hobbs & Shaw will be the first Fast & Furious spin-off with movie stars Johnson as Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw. In this spin-off, Idris Elba is the main villain, and Vanessa Kirby is Shaw`s sister called Hattie. In the movie, we also will watch Eiza Gonzales in the character of the mysterious Madam M.

“We’re either gonna get along, or we get it on. F— gettin’ along, gettin’ it on is way more fun,” The Rock wrote on Instagram this month. “On a biz note, this film has been a fun one to produce, and our [global] audience is gonna have an absolute blast this summer.”

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw airs on Aug. 2, 2019, and Fast & Furious 9 is planned for April 2020.

‘Hobbs & Shaw’: Dwayne Johnson Shared the Most Badass Cast Piccie So Far

2019 will be packed with remarkable blockbusters. However, none matches the masculinity of ‘Hobbs & Shaw’. The Fast and Furious spinoff is scheduled to be released on August 2 and we can’t wait to see it. ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ comes with some of the best and sexiest actors, such as Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson who will fight Idris Elba, who was actually named the sexiest man alive of 2018 by People magazine.

Dwayne Johnson seems to extremely excited about this project and he recently shared a new piccie from the cast which we definitely consider the most badass one so far. He posted the picture on his Instagram and he captioned the photo:

“An exclusive lil’ taste of biggest showdown the summer has ever seenThe Outlaw Lawman, HOBBS.

The International Spy, SHAW.

The Baddest Bad Guy the Fast & Furious franchise has ever had, BRIXTON.

We’re either gonna get along or we get it on.

Fuuuck gettin’ along. gettin’ it on is way more fun.

On a biz note, this film has been a fun one to produce and our world audience is gonna have an absolute blast this summer.”

The photo looks extremely intense and having The Rock and Idris Elba in the same movie, well let’s say that ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ outdid itself.

The Rock plays the Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs who is in alliance with a character played by Statham, Deckard Shaw. This 90-minute guns movie also features Elba, who stars as Brixton, the film’s baddie. They couldn’t have picked a more perfect person to play the villain. The Fast & Furious spin-off will also see Vanessa Kirby as MI6 Operative Hattie Shaw. Plus, having David Leitch direct the show means that we can expect some real quality action. David Leitch directed Atomic Blonde and John Wick.
