Dwayne Johnson And Emily Blunt Join Forces Again for a Superhero Flick

The dynamic duo of Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt already made one movie together. Disney’s Jungle Cruise won’t be in cinemas until next year, but The Rock and Emily have another project in the works.

Scott Lobdell and Alé Garza’s 1999 graphic novel Ball and Chain is getting a movie version and two Hollywood stars have the lead roles. They will be playing a married couple whose relationship is on ice. They are just getting ready for a divorce when a meteorite hits the planet and gives them mysterious superpowers. The catch is that their superpowers only work when they are together.

This is how the comic series is explained by the authors: “Edgar and Mallory Bulson have decided to throw in the towel. That was the plan anyway until a mysterious meteor bathed the battling couple in extraterrestrial energies that gave them superpowers. Will their newfound abilities be enough to make their marriage work?”

Their previous project, Jungle Cruise, has been pushed back a whole year. It was originally scheduled for a July 24th premiere, but the COVID-19 pandemic had other plans. Some suggested that the movie could have been simply delayed to the end of the year and made available on Disney+. Johnson defended the decision on his Instagram account: “I feel great and bullish about this date as it gives us time for Disney to be fully operational in all their businesses – theme parks, hotels, cruise ships, but more importantly, it gives the world time to bounce back to living confidently, productively and joyously once again. Thank you, Disney leadership team. And thank you to all the fans worldwide. The movie will be worth the wait. Stay healthy, my friends.”

“I feel great,” Johnson told Access. “It was a beautiful ceremony and it was phenomenal.”
Noting how important the couple’s privacy was, Johnson added that their wedding was “very quiet.”
“We kept it under wraps,” he added. “Private, which is perfect.”

However, Blunt stated that, even though Johnson did send her an invite, there wasn’t enough time to
attend the wedding.

“It came way too late,” the actress, who was on location filming A Quiet Place 2, shared. “Like an hour
later you were married so I didn’t have any opportunity to hop on a plane and celebrate this.”
‘The Rock’ also said that the place where he married his long-time girlfriend has a special significance for

“Where we got married was in Kauai, two minutes from where they lived when we shot Jungle Cruise,”
Johnson told Extra in another interview from the D23 Expo, referring to Blunt and her husband John

If you’re wondering what’s next for Dwayne and his new wife, he revealed that after the Disney event is
over, they’re hopping on a plane so they could go on their honeymoon.
“She’s waiting, and I fly back to her now and we are going to have a honeymoon,” he shared. “It’s going to be great, it’s going to be fantastic.” Johnson first announced the news that he would be marrying the singer/music producer in an intimate

ceremony on Aug. 19.

He chose a white shirt and white pants by Ralph Lauren Purple Label in the first shot with his bride, 34,
who wore a long white Mira Zwillinger lace dress with a low-cut neckline and long train.
In the second photo, we can see the newlyweds at the edge of the water, with the beautiful Hawaii sunset
behind them.

The two first met in 2006 while filming The Game Plan and they started dating in 2007. They also have
two daughters Jasmine, 3, and Tiana, 16 months.

Dwayne Johnson Wraps Up Reshoot of Jungle Cruise

Dwayne Johnson posted a new image to mark the end of Jungle Cruise reshoot. Jungle Cruise has been a part of Disneyland since 1955 and the company was trying to make a movie with the same theme for years. At one point, Tom Hanks and Tim Allen were a part of the project. Dwayne Johnson came aboard in 2018 and the production finally started in 2018. Other members of the cast are Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramirez, and Paul Giamatti. The director is Jaume Collet-Serra.

The premiere was scheduled for October 11, but Disney scraps those plans, moving the release date to 2020 while pushing Maleficent: Mistress of Evil into that slot. The reasons for this shuffle haven’t been announced, but it was probably done to leave more time for Jungle Cruise reshoot.

Johnston marked the occasion by posting a picture of Blunt and himself on the set on his Instagram account.

If Emily Blunt’s looks could kill 😈 Ladies and gents, that’s an OFFICIAL WRAP of production for our DISNEY’S JUNGLE CRUISE. To our hard working and brilliant crew and filmmakers – THANK YOU for your commitment and talent in making something great for our audience. THANK YOU to our partner & leader of global family entertainment, the WALT DISNEY CO for the trust you’ve placed in our hands for our beloved, timeless, iconic Disney park ride known as JUNGLE CRUISE. And finally, a heartfelt MAHALO to my one and only co-star, Emily Blunt. You play the female version of INDIANA JONES brilliantly with relentless ambition to find the one, elusive magical 💫 thing that could change humanity for the better – forever. Unfortunately, for you there’s no other skipper that knows the Amazon River like I do and all I care about is my money, my liquor and my cat. Good luck lady in trying to change the world ~ and not falling for my charm. So much fun making this film and we can’t wait to take you all on this EPIC adventure. That’s a wrap! And I’ll see ya down the road. #DISNEY #ShesAmbitious #AndHeHasTerriblyCharmingPuns #JungleCruise SUMMER 2020 🚢🗺🌴🌊

The details of the script are still unclear, but so far, we know that Johnston is playing a role of a riverboat captain, taking a scientist (Blunt) deep into the heart of South American jungle to find a legendary tree. The rival team is trying to beat them to it. Johnson described Blunt’s character as a female Indiana Jones.
Those who have followed the production say that the movie has a little of the African Queen vibe going on between lead characters. Johnston plays a captain who only cares about “my money, my liquor and my cat” and doesn’t really care about what other people think about that.

With Pirates of the Caribbean finished, Disney needs a new franchise series and Jungle Cruise may be just what the doctor subscribed for them. Collet-Serra is known for making fast-paced movies with a lot of action and this project is right up his alley.

The tremendous duo Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt Coming Back to Reshoots `Jungle Cruise`

Dwayne Johnson is a hard-working actor, and this is the reason why he is so successful and wanted actor in Hollywood. At the moment he is shooting Jungle Cruise, Hobbs & Shaw, and Jumanji, the next sequel. He was not able to manage his schedule because of the shooting Jumanji, so he turns down hosting the Oscars. After only a few weeks of non-working, he is back in the studio for shooting some photographs for Jungle Cruise.

A few beautiful, behind-the-scenes photos showed up on the social platform of Hiram Garcia, who is a president of the production at Johnson`s Seven Bucks Production. On the photos, we can see Dwayne Johnson and his co-star actress, Emily Blunt in new costumes of their characters. This is a common practice at Disney`s to make reshoots for blockbuster films. Also, every Marvel movie make these reshoots after the last look in the editing room.
