Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ryan Reynolds have matching Tattoos

The world is talking about the new Fast and Furious Spinoff movie, Hobs & Shaw, starring Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Idris Elba. However, a surprise appearance by another big movie star is caused joy among fans. Now, there is another story behind it, and we can just say that imitation is among the sincerest forms of flattery and love.

The brief cameo of Ryan Reynolds in Hobbs & Shaw was a complete surprise that audiences never expected. Now that the hit blockbuster has been in theaters for around a week, the secret is out. Reynolds plays the character of Locke, who is a CIA agent and a former colleague of The Rock’s titular character Hobbs.

To show off their bromance, as well as how much fun and enjoyment he had during their time together in the agency, Lock shows Hobbs a tattoo that he had, one that completely matches his own. In real life, sadly, this is not the case. Johnson has chest tattoos, but Reynolds does not, so this was just a fake tattoo for the movie.

Now, we all know that the pair of actors love to joke around and have fun. They did so on social media as well, where they were poking fun at their shared body art. Reynolds, who is 42, posted a cool shot of the two famous actors while they are pulling back their shirts and showing the tattoos. He wrote the following as the caption:

“I can only imagine how upset I was to discover this.”
Dwayne Johnson, 47, responded, and told his buddy Reynolds that he really looks “cool and se*y.” He wrote:

“You pull your shirt back to reveal our ink, and it looks cool & se*y. I pull my shirt back, and it looks like an indicator that I eat women and children.”

In further comments about their special bond, Reynolds also shared on Instagram a photo of one half of a “best friend” necklace, in which he tagged Johnson. Johnson went in on the fun and shared a different version of that photo, and thanked Ryan Reynolds for his small but interesting cameo in his hit movie.

Johnson wrote: “A #HobbsAndShaw delight when audiences go ape s— with laughs & joy when @vancityreynolds comes on screen as Hobbs’ surprise partner ‘Agent Locke’ of the CIA – who’s known for stabbing bad guys in the chest with a brick. I’ve known this brilliant SOB for years, and we jumped at the opportunity to mash up our tequila and gin chemistry to deliver some magic for the audience. Thanks, RR for helping make our Lil’ spin-off movie, the #1 movie in the world. Fans love it, so we’ve done our job, brother.”

Director of the movie, David Leitch, recently revealed to Vulture how the role of Reynolds changed significantly when he agreed to do the unexpected cameo:

“I reached out to Ryan: ‘Dude, I have this exposition scene with the CIA agent. He’s sending Hobbs and Shaw on the journey. It’s a lot of boring exposition. How would you like to come in and play it?’ And he’s like, ‘I would love to! It’d be so fun,’”. David Leitch has already worked with Reynolds, as he is the director behind the fan-favorite comic book movie Deadpool 2.

Leitch continued saying how much Reynolds “re-crafted” the original Agent Locke character:

“I sent him the pages. Doing what Ryan does best, he really re-crafted them into something special that had a ton of jokes and pop culture references and this weird dynamic of this character who’s kind of quasi-obsessed with Hobbs — that’s all from Ryan’s mind. So without approaching Ryan, we never would have had this gold. He created a character that I was hoping would live in this world that’s a little bit more fun-forward than the other Fast franchise.” Could we have expected anything else form a comedy genius like Reynolds?

Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is now the number one movie in the world, and it has already grossed more than $330 million worldwide. The movie stars Hollywood heavyweights Johnson, Jason Statham, and Idris Elba.

The Rock Promotes Samoan Culture in His New Movie

/

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most recognizable people in the world today. This forty-seven-year-old comes from a Samoan origin. Recently, he got an opportunity to present some of his cultures on the big screen. The Rock recently stated that was the key thing for him starring in a Fast and furious spin-off “Hobbs & Shaw”.

As you probably know, Dwayne Johnson will appear in “Hobbs & Shaw” alongside Jason Statham from the United Kingdom. These actors come from different cultures and invested their mentalities in this project. The Rock stated that culture was a key factor for this movie to be made, naturally, alongside chemistry between actors.

Johnson stated that Samoan culture didn’t have the opportunity to reach billion people around the globe, that it has with this movie. He stated that he is ecstatic to see something like that happening and that he is involved in this project. He will reprise the role of policeman Luke Hobbs, and Jason Statham will reprise his role of Deckard Shaw.

Today, Jason Statham lives in Los Angeles and he was very happy to return to the United Kingdom, to be a part of a large, blockbuster movie. He said that he loved working in the UK after a really large amount of time. The movie was filmed just outside the Leadenhall`s and Lloyd`s buildings. His character, Deckard Shaw is a typical representative of the people from the United Kingdom.

He drives a British-made, 720S McLaren, which was made in Surrey. He wears an old Saville Row suit, Cleverly shoes, and Budd shirt. The Brits are a majority in the cast of “Hobbs & Shaw”. Alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, you will have the opportunity to see Helen Mirren, Idris Elba and Vanessa Kirby, and the movie is going to be directed by David Leitch.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in ‘Songland’ episode inspired by Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

/

If you didn’t watch any of the previous 6 episodes of Songland songwriting competitions, it’s about a new NBC’s show that is trying to promote talented songwriters and it’s launched on May 28 of this year. Several competitors had the opportunity to show their talent in songwriting and their songs were selected and recorded by well-known musicians and artists.

For example, John Legend, who was a guest judge on the first show, chose “We Need Love”, a song written by Tebby Burrows and song hit the 10th place on the iTunes chart.

In addition to this song, Black Eyed Peas (will.i.am) selected “Be Nice” by Adam Friedman, Jonas Brothers chose “Greenlight” by Able Heart, while Darius Coleman’s song “Better Luck Next Time” was selected by Kelsey Ballerini. These were the winners of the previous episodes.

But in the latest episode of the show, the guest judge was Aloe Blacc, and the song written by the winner of the episode would be selected and featured in the upcoming Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw movie. In order to provide support to all contestants, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was surprised when FaceTime wanted them luck and said:

“Our music for Hobbs & Shaw is our soul, and it’s a lifeline of our movie. Thank you so much for sharing your passion. Go out there and have fun. And by the way, the world does not know you – but they’re about to! ”

In addition to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the leading roles in the new movie are played by Jason Statham and Idris Elba.

Given that David Leitch (director of Hobbs & Shaw) and Aloe Blacc are looking for a suitable song that would be featured in the new sequel of the popular franchise, this episode was a great chance for songwriters to show their best and be selected. It looks like this episode was really lucky for them and they chose a song written by Kyle Williams. The name of the new Blacc’s anthem is “Getting Started”.

Although the song by Kyle Williams was chosen, it didn’t look like “Getting Started” is going to be a winner. Blacc and Leitch had really positive comments for the song “Chosen” by Afika before. Ester Dean (also a judge in the ‘Songland’ show) had a positive comment on Afika’s song, as well. However, it seems that Leitch and Blacc felt that “Getting Started” fits better for the upcoming blockbuster.

More fighting in Hobs & Shaw Trailer

There have been new trailers available for Hobs and Show and they present even more intense fighting and car racing.

The first trailer

The first trailer for this film was released in February 2019 and it introduced a new bad guy called Brixton (Idris Elba had the honor to play this character). However, we show that the old enemies Luke Hobbs (played by Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham) have crossed their ways once again so that the ninth part of fast and Furious could be made.

The trailer

The very beginning of the trailer shows us how they both fight some bad guys in Chernobyl. They were so strong together that the opponents did not have any chance. This was also shown when Hobbs yawned during their fight with those bad guys. When the defeated them, they simply used the face of one of them to open the lock that was working on face recognition. The funny scene was during his several try-outs to unlock it with this face since there were several denials.

He then explained that he would simply kill half of the world population by using a virus he has designed and that Shaw’s sister Hattie is also infected with it. Shaw first takes it as a family business while Hobbs initially treat it as a world and global problem and thus his business.
