When he was only 19 years old he represented his country in the FIBA Basketball World Cup which was being held in the Czech Republic, the Serbian national team won a silver medal after losing to the US in the finals.

In the 2014/2015 season, he was named MVP of the Adriatic League. In the summer of 2015 he got drafted by the Denver Nuggets as the 41st pick, a fun fact is that he was actually asleep when he was drafted.
