As you may know, Shannen is currently battling stage IV breast cancer. The 48-year-old actress updated her followers on Saturday that things are looking good, she is working out with her friends, model Anne Marie Kortright (37) and personal trainer Kira Stokes (45).
‘After a year of dealing with cancer coming back and other stresses, I’m back at it,’ she revealed. ‘Taking care of myself and embracing every day. It’s not always easy. I have days I’m depressed or just plain lazy. But I push thru with the help of friends.’
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress, says that Kortright motivates her and gives her the necessary nutritional information.

According to Shannen, Kortright has been relentless in getting me to hike and learning new ways to cook that feed my soul as well as my tummy but in a very healthy way,’
The actress has undergone a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. She was first diagnosed with cancer in March 2015, five years ago. In April 2017, she was cancer-free, but last month she was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer.
She recently spoke with ABC’s Good Morning America, and she talked about her health battle.
‘It’s going to come out in a matter of days or a week that I’m stage four, so my cancer came back, and that’s why I’m here,’ she said. ‘I don’t think I’ve processed it. It’s a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways.’
Shannen took part in the short-lived BH902010 reboot to pay tribute to the late castmate Luke Perry.
‘One of the reasons, along with Luke, that I did 90210 and didn’t really tell anybody because I thought, people can look at that other person with stage four can work too,’ she added. ‘Like, you know, our life doesn’t end the minute we get that diagnosis. We still have some living to do.’
