First, let us tell you a little bit about Almonor’s background. Just like any young adult, Emmanuel did not have a clear vision of his future. But, what made him different is the fact that he used to work hard on creating one. During his teen year, he held multiple jobs at different clothing stores, until a few years later, he was approached by a manager from AT&T who praised him for his work and personality and offered him a job.

We can freely say that this was the beginning of his success. After only two months Almonor was already one of the top 10 employees, and after three, he got a promotion to store manager. However, this is where things took a turn for the worst. During this time, almost all employees quit, so the entire burden of running a store and ensuring customer satisfaction feel on Emmanuel’s back. Still, he was persistent and managed to double all the numbers, so he was up for another promotion.

He started working at a bigger store, and this is when he got the necessary training thus the opportunity to learn some basic things about running a business. He says that this knowledge helped him a lot in his future business adventures.

The fact that he was young and had no family to support, allowed Almonor to save a lot of money that he then wanted to invest in something, but he just wasn’t sure what that something should be. It is funny how sometimes life can stir you in the right direction. One night, at a poker game, he met a man who told him about his success in running a call center. So Emmanuel decided to give it a shot.

After a year, he had enough money in his savings account, so he left the AT&T and started his own call center company. However, we’d say to he was clever enough not to put all eggs into one basket, so during this time, he also managed numerous other small businesses like car washing, lawn cares, prepaid phone stores, and so on.

Soon he met another person that gave him the idea of opening a tax services office. He went through the necessary training, passed all the courses, and embarked on this new adventure. At first, it didn’t go so well, so he learned from his mistakes and tried again one year later. We can freely say that he learned the ropes, because today, he runs a total of 9 offices.

Again, during this time, he was also involved in a number of different businesses such as daycare, amazon stores, real estate offices, and he even started his own label company called Omega Music Marketing. He says that music is one of his passions and up until now he has collaborated with many well-known artists and producers.

If you are impressed by his story, as much as we are, here is some advice from Almonor that you should follow. The first thing that he had to learn was not to trust everyone. He is one of those people who tend to see good in others, but soon, he had to learn that not everyone was like him. Being in a way gullible cost him a significant amount of money because he had put it in some businesses that looked promising.

Furthermore, try not to bury yourself in too much work. This is another mistake that he had made that caused some of his investments to fail. According to him, you should only be focused on mastering one thing at the time. If you have too much on your plate, you are not going to be able to completely dedicate yourself to each task which frankly, will lead you nowhere.

In addition, make sure to always put some money aside. As you can see, from Emmanuel’s story, it provided him with the opportunity to start something of his own. Yes, we know that spending money on different things can be quite tempting, but when you are developing your company, you have to be smart about money.

Almonor also advises you to always be surrounded by people and make new connections every chance you get. As you can see, others were an inspiration for him, and honestly, you never know if a business opportunity is going to arise or not.

Ensure that you always learn from your mistakes. Failing is never easy, but you have to be resistant and know how to pick yourself up. Oftentimes, it doesn’t matter how many courses you have taken because some things you cannot learn until you have experienced them.

Also, Emmanuel says that you should always keep up with the hard work and be patient while waiting for your opportunity. Yes, it can be tough every time you fail in something, but you should not allow it to stop you from trying again. Don’t forget that each one of us gets our moment to shine, sooner or later.

What’s more, you have to learn how to use social media platforms to your advantage. We agree with Almonor when he says that ‘you need to have an online presence nowadays to get to the next level’. People want to know who you are and what your company is all about, and the best way to provide them with all the answers is to present yourself online and have direct communication with your customers.
