Miranda Kerr is an Australian supermodel and an actress. Her success in passing the message of her sponsors to the audience earned her the nickname “the perfect endorsement”.
Miranda Kerr was born in Sidney, Australia, in 1983. The family, consisting of father John, mother Therese and kid brother Matthew moved to Gunnedah, New South Wales, where Miranda grew up riding horses and racing motorbikes on her grandma’s farm. Her family moved to Brisbane in an effort to provide a city life experience for Miranda and Matthew.
In Brisbane, Miranda attended All Hallows’ School, where she graduated in 2000. Her first brush with fame came when she was just 13. She won the 1997 annual Dolly magazine model competition and had a photo shoot for the cover. Due to her young age, there was some controversy, especially about her bathing suit pictures. She later commented: “In the media at the time they were trying to cling on to anything remotely to do with pedophilia. Dolly is a magazine for teenage girls, not for old men. And I was fully clothed! Doing a winter shoot! They just made something out of nothing.”
Miranda continued her modeling career signing for Chic Management’s Sydney division. Her series of beachwear ads brought her huge exposure and she became the brand ambassador of Seafolly in 2001. In 2004, she signed for NEXT Model Management, focusing on her international career. She appeared at the covers of Elle, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar. During her stay in New York, Miranda became the face of Victoria’s Secret and Maybelline.
At the age of 34, Miranda Kerr net worth is estimated at $18 million. Her eco-house in Malibu is part of that, as well as luxurious, $12 million houses in Brentwood, California.
