Steve Stanulis has something to say about what it was like working for Kanye West, and it isn’t the first time. In 2016, after he was fired, Steve made remarks on how he would never go back to his old job because of the rapper’s egotistical and condescending ways.

He was recently featured on a podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn called Hollywood Raw, where he was asked to reminisce on his experiences while working for Kanye West. He recounted that Kanye made up nonsensical rules, like the one where he was supposed to stay far behind him while walking through busy streets, which Steve finds absurd – if something were to happen, the bodyguard couldn’t run up in time to help.
Another one of his stories recounts their first meeting, which happened during fashion week. Kanye got annoyed in the elevator because the bodyguard didn’t know which button to press, as it was his first day on the job. Kanye claimed that he was supposed to call in advance to check where he was presumed to be heading. Steve quickly put him in his place, saying that he could either tell him or sit in an elevator the entire day and stay mad.

Stanulis worked for Kanye for only 15 days. He was fired minutes before he was supposed to escort the couple to the fundraising gala. He found this out after being completely ignored by West, and the security guy telling him that his services will no longer be needed. He later found out that it was because Kanye suspected that Stanulis was flirting with his wife Kim, but he denies these claims.
Stanulis worked for the Wests for quite a short span of time, but it was just enough to judge that Kanye was the worst person he ever had to work for. He claims that they barely spoke, and that he was never offered even a glass of water while on the job. However, Stanulis recently accounted that he still respects Kimye even though they’ve had quite a rocky history.
