Roman Reigns’ Best and Worst Moments of the WWE Universal Championship Rule

Roman Reigns had six attempts to capture the WWE Championship title, but he failed to do so. He had two defeats against Brock Lesnar before he managed to get to the final goal. However, his reign didn’t last long due to Leukemia problems, which surprised many WWE fans.

Reigns was ruling the pro-wrestling industry for 64 days, and his feud with Braun Strowman will be down in the books as one of the best. However, it is time to revisit Reign’s rule and remind ourselves of the best and the worst moments he had.

One Night After Winning the Title

Who would have thought that we would watch a S.H.I.E.L.D reunion on RAW? After Reigns successfully defended his Universal Championship Title against Finn Balor, Mr. Monster in the Bank Braun Strowman cashed in his MITB contract on Reigns. With the familiar music starting in the background, the fans could see Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins with the same black attire familiar to everyone. The trio literally destroyed Strwoman who ended thrown through the announce table.

Hell in a Cell against Braun Strowman

Only the biggest rivals have the opportunity to show the crowd who is better in a Hell in a Cell match. While the wrestlers are doing their best to beat the opponents, this is a true treat for the fans who get to enjoy a hardcore clash. Several feuds and rivalries are ended with this kind of matches.

Although Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman were the ones fighting, it was their allies that got more attention. Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler’s fall of the cell really took the breath away from the fans. Mick Foley was the special guest referee, but even he couldn’t save it for Roman. In the end, it was Lesnar who came out victorious.

Universal Championship Defenses on RAW

Kevin Owens was the last Universal Champ who defended his title on Monday Night RAW. After that UC matches became exclusive pay-per-view only. However, Reigns promised to defend his title, and his first opponent was Finn Balor. General Manager of RAW Baron Corbin betted against the Big Dog, but to his disappointment, Reigns emerged as a winner.

The S.H.I.E.L.D overshadowed the Universal Title

Although fans must be thrilled to see the popular wrestlers reunited, it overshadowed Reigns’ success, and the belt over his shoulder looked meaningless as the trio was getting prepared to face off one of the Dogs of War in non-title matches on RAW. The reunion could have been postponed allowing Reigns to enjoy and defend his title first.

The most shocking revelation happened on RAW. Roman Reigns stepped into the ring, and he broke character. He said that his name is Joe and he has been battling leukemia for the past 11 years. Because of the issues, he had to give up on his Universal Championship. It would be a small thing to say that everyone was shocked.

Reigns left his title in the middle of the ring, and then he left. His brothers from the team showed up, and they did the famous fist bump, perhaps for the last time. This was one of the most emotional moments of RAW, and the company shared a backstage video of superstars supporting and consolidating Joseph Anoa’i.

Roman Reigns has been one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, but his short rule was ended abruptly. The fans were hoping to see him go on and on to become one of the greatest, but that will not happen. With a lot of ups and downs during his reign, Roman has one battle he needs to win, and it will be the toughest battle of his life.

14 Crazy Sporting Events around the World (Funny Video)

Everyone knows about regular famous sports, like basketball, football or tennis. They are famous around the world and played in almost every country. What about local sports though, which creative people thought off as pastime activities? Some are completely new and ridiculous, while others are a strange variation on a regular sport. Let us look at 14 of these unorthodox sports from around the globe.

14. Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake

People from Cotswolds region in England hold a racing event that starts by rolling a Double Gloucester cheese from the top of Cooper’s Hill. A crowd of people racing down the hill has to catch it first and win. This competition has grown famous and has spread, with more and more foreign competitors and spectators joining every year.

13. Buzkashi

Afghanistan’s national sport involves competitors riding horses. The objective is to get a dead goat from other players and place it on a circular goal line. Think of it as a game of polo without the sticks and balls, but as competitive and fierce as American football, with all the bashing, kicking, and sometimes even shooting. Very unique indeed.

12. Eton Wall Game

At Eton College in England, this game is an activity for over 300 years. Maybe similar to rugby or football to some extent, it is actually a very different game. The wall is the main field. Players pile up in order to fight over the ball. You score if you are near either end of the wall, and you kick the ball to anything that resembles a goal, like a door for example or a tree. It is not nearly as simple as it sounds. The last score happened back in 1909. Talk about a dry spell.

11. Chess Boxing

You have probably heard about this one already. Chess players are sitting and playing, with a boxing glove on one hand. In Finland, they mix boxing and chess together in this strange sport. Players first play a round of chess, then a round of boxing, and then chess again. A total of 11 rounds are played. It is the ultimate test of the brain and the body.

10. Shin Kicking

Shin Kicking is another famous sport in Cotswolds, England, around the same place where the already mentioned cheese rolling takes place. The objective is to kick your opponent down by constantly kicking his shins. You have to win the best of three by knocking your enemy down. Then you are the winner. If you have ever hit your shin, you know how much it can hurt. This one is truly special.

9. Freestyle Walking

A certain sport provides consolation for those who are not that great at biking, skateboarding or rollerblading. The only accessory you need for a good time in this activity is a pair of Soap Shoes, intended for rail grinding. The sport is so popular that famous video game characters like the SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog, and Tidus from Final Fantasy X, do it in some editions of their popular games.

8. Ferret Legging

Ferret Legging is pretty crazy, and not that popular with players. Two angry ferocious ferrets are trapped in your pants, and you have to last the longest. A day like this could quickly go bad for you. The amazing thing to note is that the record stands at 5 hours.

7. Skibobbing

Skiing and snowboarding are great speed sports during winter. Some even consider these fast-pacing competitions to be extreme sports, with dangers like banging yourself on a tree. However, if you mastered both of these, then skibobbing is just the thing for you. It is just like any other winter sport, but now you also add a bicycle into the mix. We will let you ponder on this one.

6. Camel Wrestling

You have probably heard of bullfights, cockfighting, and even dogfights. These are all extremely cruel and often involve the death of one of the animals. In camel wrestling in Turkey, all is well because there is no spilling of blood, no casualties, and no guilt in the end. The match is decided when a camel runs away or when one falls hard on the ground.

5. Extreme Ironing

Unlike the regular house activity, this ironing sport takes you to the most unpredictable places, like edges of cliffs, on a wakeboard, the top of Mount Everest, in ruins, while parachuting, and such. Although actual events do not happen, teams and groups of competitors assemble and go places to show the world where ironing can happen. The results are some unlikely, often dangerous spots.

4. Real Ale Wobble

This biking event is a part of the Annual Mid Wales Beer Festival in Wales. To be successful, the racers have to know the road ahead in advance. As the bike race goes on, riders need to continuously drink beverage on different checkpoints and try to be the least tipsy of all by the race’s end. Much tougher than it sounds, but it does seem crazy fun. Obviously, those with a high tolerance will win this competition, while lightweight drinkers could easily get lost, or get themselves in some other unfortunate scenarios.

3. Conker Smashing

Every October, teams from around the globe assemble in Ashton, Northamptonshire, to hold the World Conker Smashing Competition, which hosts over 300 players. The rule is to attack anyone and have their conkers smashed so they are eliminated. And what exactly areconkers, you ask? These are the nuts of the horse chestnut tree, which are tied to a knot, suspended as indicated in the game. You have to be fast, or your nuts will be smashed. Get it?

2. Worm Charming

Worm charming is a legitimate sport in the UK. It is so popular that it even has a world championship held in Cheshire annually. The rules are simple. You have a patch of land, usually 3×3 meters, and you have to use any means to bring out as many worms as you can within a period of 30 minutes. All those free worms, many competitors have to be fishermen, right.

1. Bed Racing

Started as a fun pastime activity by American soldiers in 1965, it only used to be played by them. Decades later, Bed Racing became more globally popular, with people competing in this fun sport far and wide. The idea is to beat other competitors to the finish line, but there are rules to the craziness. The team includes six players who push the bed, and another riding in the bed, similar to bobsledding. An interesting detail is that the bed should be able to float because the team needs to cross a river as the final event. Should be fun to be the bed guy.

Which of these sounds most fun to you? Would you dare try any of them? One thing is certain. They all must be extremely funny to watch.

NFL week 8th Preview and Predictions

Fans around the world are warming up for the NFL week 8 events, so here is a glimpse into what we are looking at;

Dolphins (4-3) at Texans (4-3)

Opening line: Texans -7.5

The Texans may be on a four-game winning streak, but they will be worried about their weaknesses at covering the spreads. Still, the Dolphins are historically still just 1-7 against the Texans, so expect them not to come in too confident. According to The World Sports Network the Dolphins are still without their franchise player, Ryan Tannehill, due to an injury.

Jets (3-4) at Bears (3-3)

Opening line: Bears -6

The Bears are not exactly the team you want to be betting on because of their risky approach to the game especially when playing in the AFC East. The Jets are also just 2-7 in the NFC since 2016 and 0-10 in the last ten matches.

Seahawks (3-3) at Lions (3-3)

Opening line: Lions -2.5

Seahawks are always all over the place when they play as the underdogs. The Lions on the other hands have been a very solid team to play on, covering 7 in their last 9. They are 5-1 ATS this year.

Eagles (3-4) vs. Jaguars (3-4) in London

Opening line: Eagles -3

London games have become simple to predict; the favorite almost always takes it all home. On paper, this looks good for the Eagles, but you can never overlook the prowess in a team of the  Jaguars’ caliber, especially with the Eagles sitting at 2-5 ATS, which is a really bad place.

Buccaneers (3-3) at Bengals (4-3)

Opening line: Bengals -6

The Bengals are looking at 7-2-1 straight-up last 10 matches against NFC opponents. The bad news for them is that the Buccaneers haven’t succumbed in Cincinnati going on 30 years now.

Browns (2-4-1) at Steelers (3-2-1)

Opening line: Steelers -7.5

The Browns are at 3-0-1 ATS last four meet-ups with the Steelers and 5-2 overall this season. The Steelers are a little worse for wear in this one.

Broncos (3-4) at Chiefs (6-1)

Opening line: Chiefs -9

Sitting at 7-0 ATS, the Chiefs are everyone’s dream bet this season. The Broncos have been on the Losing end against Kansas City in 6 straight games.

Ravens (4-3) at Panthers (4-2)

Opening line: Hard to say

Panthers have been on a roll, winning 6 straight against AFC rivals. Ravens haven’t enjoyed the same luck against NFC teams, sitting at 3-7 straight-up and ATS in the last two clashes.

Redskins (4-2) at Giants (1-5)

Opening line: Redskins -1

The Giants are not good at the spread but are 2-8 straight-up in the last 10. The Redskins are not any better, with 2-8 in the last 8 against opponents in the division.

Packers (3-2-1) at Rams (7-0)

Opening line: Rams -8.5

The undefeated Rams are 4-3 ATS this season. The Packers have been on the losing end away from home on four consecutive times.

Colts (2-5) at Raiders (1-5)

Opening line: Colts -1.5

The Colts never do well in the West Coast. The Raiders are 2-4 ATS this season.

Patriots (5-2) at Bills (2-5)

Opening line: Patriots -13

The Bills are 6-3-1 ATS at home since last season. The Patriots, on the other hand, have headlined the league for a decade.

Saints (5-1) at Vikings (4-2-1)

Opening line: Vikings -2.5

Minnesota has beaten Saints twice in the last 13 months, but the latter is ridiculously good in the month of October.

49ers (1-6) at Cardinals (1-6)

This should be easy on the Cardinals, seeing as they have gone 7-0 against their erstwhile rivals, a route starting way back in 2015.

14 of the worst sports teams in history

America has many national sports to choose from, some more thrilling than others, but all pretty special. Between the NBA, NFL, MLB, and others, some teams are remembered for crushing records and being good, while some others are also remembered, but for being extremely bad. Some of these are legends for all the wrong things. Without further ado, let us look at these unfortunate sports teams.

14. 2007 New Jersey Institute of Technology Basketball Team

One of the worst squads of the new millennium, they lost every game during their 2007-2008 season. They broke the NCAA record for most losses in a season with 29.

Ray Emery died at age 35

Terrible news on Sunday: former NHL goalie Ray Emery passed away at age 35.

Toronto photojournalist Andrew Collins first reported the sad news, which was confirmed by Hamilton Police. Multiple reporters, including Collins, indicate that drowning was the cause of death.

The Ottawa Senators drafted Emery in the fourth round (99th overall) in 2001, and some of Emery’s best moments happened with the Sens, including a run to the 2007 Stanley Cup Final. Emery played in 287 NHL regular-season games and 39 playoff contests, also suiting up with the Anaheim Ducks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Chicago Blackhawks. Emery last played in the NHL in 2014-15 with the Flyers, while his last hockey season came in 2015-16, when he split that campaign between the AHL and Germany’s DEL.

In 2012-13, Emery and Corey Crawford were awarded the William Jennings Trophy, which is handed to the goalie (or in that case, goalies) who produced the lowest GAA during the regular season. He also enjoyed a moment with the Stanley Cup during his time with Chicago:

Emery stood out thanks to his personality as much as his goaltending, with his one-sided fight against Braden Holtby ranking as one of his most memorable moments in the NHL.

While his NHL career was brief, Emery made an impact, as you can see from an outpouring of emotion from fans and former teammates, including Daniel Carcillo and James van Riemsdyk. Plenty of people around the hockey world also shared their condolences, including Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas, who was familiar with Emery during his stint with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies.

Senators owner Eugene Melnyk released a statement in memory of Emery.

“On behalf of the Ottawa Senators, I wish to express my sincere condolences on the passing of Ray Emery. Ray was instrumental in our run to the 2007 Stanley Cup Final, and at his best he brought a competitive edge and combative mentality to the game. On behalf of our entire organization, I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Ray’s family, friends and loved ones.”
