In fact, some of the best publishers in the world have published their very own free-to-play first-person shooter games for people all over the world.

If you want to enjoy some first-person shooting games for free, but have no idea what you could try, this article might be able to help you. The text below is going to feature some of the best, free FPS’ that you could try during 2020. Let’s take a closer look at what you could choose to download:

1. ‘PUBG’ Mobile + Lite + Desktop

Source: wallpaperaccess.com

PUBG is one of the franchises on our list that has been extremely popular in recent years, and there is a good reason for this. Besides it is completely free, it also combines several different genres such as exploration, role-playing, as well as battling other competitors on the map.

However, there is a little twist to it – you can opt for either the first-person or third-person perspective, and you won’t even have to use your smartphone for playing it since you can choose to enjoy it on your computer. Once you start it, you’ll be placed on an island with other individuals with only one objective in mind – loot some weapons and armor, and defeat the other individuals in order to win.

Now, you should know that the franchise also has a ‘lite’ version which means that you could run it on weaker or older devices. Hence, you can enjoy it even though it is the lite version for both mobile and desktop options. If you are looking for something a bit challenging, you might want to opt for this option.

2. ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’

Back in 2018, Activision tried to utilize a battle royale mode in order to sell a new COD part, however, they shocked – read surprised – a lot of fans when they released it for free. Although some leaks did show paying individuals what it is all about, they still enjoyed playing it and I did reach thirty million users in less than two weeks.

However, it did not come only in one mode, in fact, it also featured the Plunder mode. Of course, the Battle Royale mode is similar to the aforementioned PUBG. On the other hand, the second mode happens on the same map, but it does allow people to respawn numerous times.

Now, you might be wondering – what is the point then? Well, the point is that you’ll need to collect money from crates, finish missions, defeat other members, as well as gather anything that is dropped down by helicopters and airdrops that occur from time-to-time.

3. ‘Apex Legends’

When you think about it, it has been quite some since Respawn Entertainment released the perfect ‘Titanfall II’, however, instead of choosing to create a sequel, they did choose to create another game that is free-to-play called ‘Apex Legends’. The concept is relatively similar to COD, but, the major difference is that you can play with different characters – all with their own skills.

The game is set on a massive map with groups of 2 or 3, it completely feels like it is a battle royale game, but, for players that are not so happy with the entire genre. Since you’ll be playing with other players, you should know that there are boosting packages that could help you.

The packages won’t only help with improving your character and moving faster in the game, but it could help you with other key elements and things as well. If you are interested in seeing what packages you can choose to purchase, you can click here for additional information.

With its latest release, it now offers players a deathmatch mode which has proved to be quite loved by individuals all over the world.

Come to think of it, this game shares more with COD and Overwatch than it does with, let’s say PUBG and Apex. The main game mode that you can opt for playing in a variety of seeking and destroy missions, where one of the people in your team will have the task of setting a bomb, while the people in the other team try to switch it off.

You’ll be able to go through the rounds in a matter of several minutes, and you’ll probably play a few of them until one of the matches ends. Since the plot is mostly hero-based, you’ll likely not get bored of the game, especially since you’ll be able to try different characters and with them, new and fun skills.

Conclusion

The games mentioned above are all incredibly fun to go through, however, each of them carries different aspects and plots, which is one of the reasons why you might want to opt for at least trying to run most of them. Not only are they incredibly fun, but, you’ll also have the chance to play with your friends and/or family members which is incredibly important in the era of social distancing. This means that if you are practicing social distancing skills, you should keep yourself – and those close to you – entertained with these games.

As you can see, there is a wide range of free, first-person shooter games that you could choose to try. Hence, if you are practicing social distancing measures due to the COVID-19 global outbreak, you’ll have various options to keep you occupied, social, and entertained.

So, now that you are aware of what you could choose to play on a variety of consoles, you might not want to lose any more of your time. Instead, you should go back to the beginning of this article and determine which of the games mentioned above might fit your needs, as well as requirements.

For Rock/Pop Band Milou Sky, Inspiration Strikes Anytime, Anywhere

/

Musicians follow different creative processes and find inspiration in different things. Some of Taylor Swift‘s biggest hits, for example, were written when she was feeling anxious and experiencing emotional conflicts. Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys likes to write songs in the morning, the part of the day when he feels most vulnerable and, therefore, more creative. Jack White of White Stripes prefers working under strict deadlines, forcing creative juices to flow until something good comes out.

For up-and-coming rock/pop band Milou Sky, inspiration can come anytime and anywhere. “We don’t have a set formula for writing songs, it just sort of happens,” said Ryan Beckett, the band’s lead vocalist, guitarist, and chief songwriter. “Inspiration can come listening to music or simply having a good or bad day, a lyric that you like, really anything can strike an idea.” Unlike White, Milou Sky’s creative process is less restrictive, and all of the members share the role of writing songs. “We’re always writing, and the result is a competitive balance between everyone in the band,” Beckett shared.

The band’s primary sources of inspiration are the artists the individual members listened to while growing up in their hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania. Beckett, and his stepbrother Zach Ninfo, the band’s drummer, bonded over 60s classic rock bands, particularly The Beatles. Liam Meadowcroft, the band’s other singer, and rhythm guitarist, looks up to Nirvana, Oasis, and Arctic Monkeys. His brother Nolan, who plays bass for the group, lists Kings of Leon, U2, and XXXTENTACION as his favorites. “We’re inspired by the music we like, and we feed off of what we hear to create our own songs and sound,” Beckett said.

The four also take inspiration from their passions outside of music. Beckett loves to watch movies and is moved by the performances of Leonardo DiCaprio. He is also a fan of football star Tom Brady and looks up to the quarterback’s mental drive and work ethic. He also loves the show South Park, which he credits for his odd sense of humor. Like Beckett, Liam is also into sports and cheers for all Philadelphia sports teams. He also played baseball when he was young.

During his spare time, Nolan likes to play video games such as Battlefield Three, Call of Duty Modern Warfare Three, and Rainbow Six Siege. When he gets tired of playing, he picks up a book on world history. Nolan also loves to go out and get active by playing golf and baseball. Like Beckett, he is also into football, and his favorite team is the Denver Broncos.

With a background in communications media, Ninfo enjoys creating videos and has won in a few competitions at the state and national levels. He loves to watch the reality show Bar Rescue, and just like Nolan, he also enjoys playing video games. He also loves to eat and try out different restaurants together with his bandmates.

For the songs in their debut EP Compromise that was released last January, the band used the pains and joys of everyday life as inspiration. “The EP showcases the collection of styles that we mashed together to create our sound. These songs are meaningful to us because we can share what we feel with our audience,” Beckett said. The first single of the EP and title track is about the typical frustrations guys feel when dealing with women. A compromise was produced by two-time Grammy Award winner Robert Cutarella who has worked with legends such as Eric Clapton, The Police, and Keith Richards.

Milou Sky also aspires to serve as an inspiration to fans and fellow musicians. Even before the release of Compromise, the band already enjoys a cult following back in Reading, where they used to play in local venues, TV shows, and festivals. Through social media, they were able to expand their fanbase. Currently, their Instagram account has more than 100,000 followers. It’s a significant achievement considering the competitive nature of the social media landscape where millions of artists worldwide vie for the attention of users.

The band knows the secret to succeed in social media, and that is to engage your followers continually. “Social media is definitely the way we communicate with our fans,” Beckett said. “It also gives our fans a chance to message us and comment on our posts, so we know how they feel about us.”

Musicians who double as influencers seem to be the trend of the future, and Milou Sky has wholly embraced the role. Through their social media accounts, the group helps other up-and-coming artists gain exposure by mentioning them on their posts. The gesture is reciprocated with other groups giving them shoutouts as well. Beckett also sees the use of social media as a means for musicians to survive the COVID-19 pandemic. “I think it’s gonna be important to really just use your account to communicate with fans since there are no large gatherings,” he said.

The band is aware of the power of music, the influence it holds on people, and its potential to shed light on social issues. They are open to the possibility of writing more socially conscious songs in the future. “If we have a good idea, we’d definitely try to write a song about it,” Beckett said. The group shares the outrage felt by other musicians on the death of George Floyd and social inequality in general. “We think it’s all horrible that we even have to do this nowadays, bad people kill people all the time, unfortunately, but for someone to be targeted because of the color of their skin is just disgusting,” remarked Beckett.

Source:instagram

The band doesn’t overestimate the influence of music, however. “It can spread awareness about (social issues)  and unite people to fight for a cause, but at the end of the day, music is just music, and in reality, more people are going to take a song as a song, not a statement,” Beckett said.

Even the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown that resulted from it didn’t stop Milou Sky from finding inspiration. They spent most of the time under quarantine writing new songs as they plan to do a follow-up to Compromise later this year.

How Rihanna Changed Anne Hathaway’s Life

Thanks to Rihanna, Anne Hathaway fell in love with her own body. When Anne was feeling insecure about her weight, all in took was a comment from Rihanna to remind her that the scale isn’t always right.

Anne Hathaway wasn’t immune to postpartum insecurities. Her fears grew even more due to the nature of her job, having to expose her body in front of cameras and millions of people. Despite struggling with infertility, she gave birth to her son in 2016.

Her first movie after becoming a mom was “Ocean’s 8”, where she had to wear glamorous and tailored dresses.

In fact, she was still breastfeeding during the shooting. So the changes in her body seemed even more obvious. Anne knew it was normal to gain weight after giving birth, so she decided to inspire other women who were in the same situation as her.

“Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise).”

But, even though she knew she had nothing to worry about, her fears spoke louder.

Fortunately, her friends on the set of “Ocean’s 8” were the perfect remedy she needed to fall in love with her body again. The best example was when Anne went to work on a day, and she was especially aware of her extra pounds. She put on some jeans and gathered all the confidence she could muster. When she got to the studios, she was surprised by actresses’ reactions: “Looking good, mama.” That made her feel amazing! And then Cate Blanchett says: “Nice jeans Hathaway.”

But Rihanna had the best reaction. She was as funny as she was daring and loving. She looks up and goes:” Damn, girl! You got an ass!”

”And I, of course, freaked out and loved it so much. I was like: ”Really?”

And she goes: “You got an ass like me.”

Since Rihanna is constantly facing criticism over her weight, she knows how destructive these comments can be, and also how painful. So she’s not only a loyal supporter of her friends but of her fans too.

”I want women to feel confident no matter what size they are, no matter what shade of “nude” they are, no matter what their personality is, what their race is, their religion is. I want women to feel confident and sexy because that’s who we are, and we deserve to feel like that.”

That’s why Rihanna gave Anne the perfect compliment, at the moment she most needed it. Accepting your body after pregnancy is a tough challenge to face. But with friends like Anne had on “Ocean’s 8”, that weight on her shoulders became lighter. Tell us, who’s the Rihanna in your life?

George Clooney Reacts to George Floyd’s Death by Saying Racism is our Pandemic

George Clooney made use of his enormous platform to talk about his support for black people of the United States.

This mega popular actor and philanthropist wrote a piece for The Daily Beast, it was called “George Clooney: America’s Greatest Pandemic Is Anti-Black Racism.”

Source:news.yahoo.com

In the essay he talks about the recent on goings, specifically the protests and supports “systemic change in our law enforcement and in our criminal justice system.”

Clooney phrased it as racism in the US is “our pandemic” and we don’t have a cure for it.

“This is our pandemic. It infects all of us, and in 400 years we’ve yet to find a vaccine,” he wrote. “It seems we’ve stopped even looking for one and we just try to treat the wound on an individual basis. And we sure haven’t done a very good job of that.”

He went on to say, “So this week, as we’re wondering what it’s going to take to fix these seemingly insurmountable problems, just remember we created these issues so we can fix them.”

“There is only one way in this country to bring lasting change: Vote,” he wrote.

George also talked about how the recent protests all over the country are similar to those in the 90s. And he pointed out the similarity between George Floyd’s and Eric Garner’s death in 2014, since they both said “I can’t breathe.”

The world found out about George Floyd on Monday, May 25. In a video of the situation, which thankfully nearby people managed to record went online, a police officer from Minneapolis, Derek Chauvin, kept Floyd on the asphalt and put his knee on his neck. There were also 3 other police officers that stood by as things were unfolding.

A separate autopsy was done which confirmed that George Floyd died at the scene. The Medical Examiner that works for the Hennepin County also released his own autopsy which concluded that Floyd died from “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint and neck compression.”

Source:edition.cnn.com

In the next few days the police officer that caused the death was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. Right now the three other officers haven’t been prosecuted but they have been fired.

“Is it 1992? Did we just hear a jury tell us that the white cops that we watched on tape hundreds of times beating Rodney King weren’t guilty of their obvious crimes? Is it 2014, when Eric Garner was executed for selling cigarettes by a white cop who strangled him as we watched? His words “I can’t breathe” forever etched into our minds,” Clooney said.

“How many times have we seen people of color killed by police? Tamir Rice, Philando Castile, Laquan McDonald. There is little doubt that George Floyd was murdered,” he continued. “We watched as he took his last breath at the hands of four police officers. Now we see another defiant reaction to the systemic cruel treatment of a portion of our citizens like we saw in 1968, 1992, and 2014.”

He went to say that we don’t know when protests will lessen up and that we can only  “hope and pray that no one else will be killed.”

“The anger and the frustration we see playing out once again in our streets is just a reminder of how little we’ve grown as a country from our original sin of slavery,” he shared. “The fact that we aren’t actually buying and selling other human beings anymore is not a badge of honor. We need systemic change in our law enforcement and in our criminal justice system.”

George also said, “We need policymakers and politicians that reflect basic fairness to all of their citizens equally. Not leaders that stoke hatred and violence as if the idea of shooting looters could ever be anything less than a racial dog whistle. Bull Connor was more subtle.”

You can check out the piece on The Daily Beast’s website.

It’s also noteworthy to mention that George Clooney isn’t the only celebrity to express his opinion on this. Selena Gomez, Beyonce, Lizzo, Harry Styles and many, many other celebrities have spoken up about this.

You could even see many celebrities take to the streets and take part in the protests.

America Got Talent, it is known for its emotionally charged moments, and that was precisely how last night’s premiere was. We enjoyed the premiere last night the most thanks to San Francisco’s Voices of Our City.

In case you didn’t know, this is a choir made up of homeless singers and former homeless singers from all over the city. This choir funds many of singers, and the judges were stunned and delighted itself before the choir sang last night. Simon Cowell and his fellow judges did not hide their enthusiasm when it was said that the choir wrote the song itself at the choir workshop, which they will perform on stage.

The real madness in the show starts when the choir starts singing, and the judges’ favorite part was when an older member of the choir had a spoken word portion.

Host Terry Crews was particularly delighted, and after all the praise from other judges, he pressed Golden Buzzer.

In addition to this touching performance, the show is full of exciting performers, and among them, the twins called Double Dragon stood out. This band sang the song “It’s Raining Men” and delighted the judges and the audience.

Another contestant this season is Archie Williams, who was mistakenly in prison for 37 years and has now wanted to try his luck at America’s Got Talent Show.

You can watch this fun show, America’s Got Talent on NBC.

Magnus Walker Net Worth 2020 – From Second-Hand Clothes to a Porsche Collector

/

A native of Sheffield, England, Magnus Walker made the name for himself only after immigrating to the United States in 1986. He owes his success to his clothing line, dubbed Serious Clothing Brand. From a humble beginning and a stall at the Venice Beach in Los Angeles, Walker has grown his company into a multi-million-dollar enterprise.

At first, he both clothes at second-hand shops and flea markets and altered them before reselling them. This made him enough money to buy a run-down factory hall in the Arts District of Los Angeles, where he started manufacturing his own clothes. His wife and partner, Karen Walker, was the one who spotted the property and had an idea how to use it.

“In 2000 my wife found a 24,000 sq ft warehouse we now call home. It was in an undesirable place, pretty beat up, and people called us crazy. But we had this gut feeling that everything would be okay, so we ran with it,” Magnus explains.

By 1990s, his brand was worn by such stars as Bruce Willis, Madonna, and Alice Cooper. His contacts with movie stars brought him another earning opportunity, and he started renting parts of the property for filming movies, music videos, and commercials. Bruce Willis, Victoria Beckham, Jay-Z, and Prince all filmed there at one time.

After 15 years in the business, both Magnus and Karen felt that they had enough and sold the company, which later closed. Magnus was now free to devote his time to his true passion, cars, specifically Porsche. Owning one was his childhood dream, which he fulfilled in 1992 when he bought his first 911. In 2002, he sold all his cars that weren’t Porsches and focused on buying and restoring 911s exclusively. By 2010s, he had more than 40 911s in his collection. He later trimmed it down to 25, none of which are for sale. Their value is estimated at over $7.5 million.

In 2017, he published a book Urban Outlaw: Dirt Don’t Slow You Down. There are also several documentaries made about his life and he even appeared as himself in Need for Speed video game.
