Best Sing-A-Long Car Song

In research conducted by the British Automobile Association (AA), more than 2,000 drivers voted for the best Sing-A-Long Car Song. The results are clear, most people love to sing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

The 1975 hit is followed by “Dancing Queen” from ABBA, “Livin’ on the Prayer” by Bon Jovi and “I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)” by Proclaimers. Top five are completed with “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor from Rocky III.

The British drivers also enjoy “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves, Wham’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cindy Lauper and “I Gotta Feeling” sung by Black Eyed Peas.

All top ten songs have five things in common that make the favorite for singing, clear structure, rhythm, harmony, verses, and chorus.

However, experts warn that listening to music releases dopamine and reduces concentration. According to psychologist Thomas Wagner, it creates an effect similar to taking a small number of drugs or alcohol.
