Abhishek Bachchan was born on February 5, 1976, in Mumbai, India. His father is Amitabh Bachchan, an actor, while his mother is an accomplished Hindi Cinema actress as well, Java Bhadhuri. His grandfather was a famous poet, and a professor at the Allahabad University.
The actor started his education at the Jamnabai Narsee School. He later went to a Scottish school in his home city of Mumbai. Next, he studied at the Aiglon College in Switzerland, after which he went to Boston University for additional education.
In 2002, the actor was engaged to fellow actress Karishma Kapoor. However, in January of 2003, they called it off. He then started dating Aishwarya Rai, another actress. They met while working on the movie “Dhoom 2”. They married each other during a traditional Indian wedding in Juhu, Mumbai, on April 20, 2007.
