In order to visit Canada, you have to get authorized in some kind of a way and let their embassy and government know that you’re a legitimate person who wants to visit there for a legit reason. This sounds like a lot of hassle, but it is actually not. It’s pretty simple and can be done through an online form called an electronic travel authorization system (eTA)

What this really means is that you are able to submit your personal information such as ID, passport, and the rest of the required documents, and fill-up the form in order to get authorized. If you do everything right, and you get authorized, the document will be electronically connected to your passport, and you will be granted permission to visit Canada as frequently as you want in the next five years. Please note that if you happen to change your passport during this time, you will have to submit a new form and wait for approval once again. Also, according to, your stay cannot last more than six months at a time, but this amount can sometimes vary depending on several factors.

Well, in most cases, yes, but you will still have to do some other things as well to be granted full permission to enter the country. When you arrive at the borders of Canada, you will have to talk to some of the officers of the border service and give them a legitimate reason for why you’re trying to enter the country. Some of your personal information will also be required, so make sure that you have everything with you, and be ready to hand it over.

If everything goes smoothly and you manage to convince the officers that your reason for visiting Canada is legit and harmless to the country, you will be granted permission to enter. If you obey all the rules and leave the country when you’re required to, you can repeat your visits as much as you want. If you fail to obey the rules, you might be restricted to get into Canada for a certain period of time.
