The American Chopper used to be a popular show not only because the team made some fantastic choppers but also because of the relationship Paul Senior had with his son also named Paul. People often watched them fight but at the end of the day they would deliver. Later on they had a show called Senior vs. Junior and more amazing bikes were produced. However, there were some which disappointed and here they are.
10. The Donald
Donald Trump showed up in 2012 demanding a chopper that would suit his style. Of course the bike had bunch of gold and although he loved it, it was definitely over the top. And who would have thought that Trump would eventually become the US president. Does he still drive this bike?
09. B2 Bike
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the B2 stealth bomber plane, a plane which took off for the first time in 1989 the guys decided to make a bite. It appears that they bit more than they could chew.
08. The Davis Love III
Paul Senior and Paul Junior got a task to create a golf-themed bike involving one of the most famous faces in golf – Davis Love III. The task was boring and the duo tried to get most out of it. Unfortunately, the bike was rather boring as well.
07. The NHL
Everyone who watched the show knew that the Orange County Choppers guys loved sports. However, the NHL bike they produced apparently didn’t meet the expectations. Some things don’t bode well together.
06. The Abu Dhabi Bike
In season 6, one of the tasks has been to assemble a chopper inspired by the Abu Dhabi police force. And you know the kind of cars they drive. The bike did look glamorous but also cheap at the same time. The final result showed lack of creativity.
05. Statue of Liberty
The Liberty bike was created in 2011 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the statue. Unluckily, the bike’s appearance was a failure and although copper and iron worked for the statue, they weren’t a good combination for the bike.
04. NY Yankees
It doesn’t pay off to produce motorcycle themed after sports teams. Only a small amount of people would like them. However, guys at American Chopper decided to create one after the NY Yankees. The bike looked ridiculous, but it was popular nevertheless.
03. Australia Bike
When creating a bike inspired by a country, this time Australia you should check your facts first. The guys included every stereotype possible on this bike and even though it looked good, they missed the true essence of the state.
02. The Ferrari
Sometimes the combination of the two bests turns out to be a complete failure. Creating a chopper styled after a Ferrari seemed like a brilliant idea, but the final product turned out to be a bust. To make matters worse, it boiled down to two Pauls to fix the mess and the bike ended up costing them too much.
01. QUBX Bike
Last but not least, there’s the QUBX bike. In 2012, Matt McGee, the founder of Virtrex Systems wanted a bike that would represent his company. Paul Junior was inspired by QUBX logo and created a bike which was slightly boring. Even so, the price tag was $700,000!
The father and son worked for years and mishaps and projects which take a wrong turn happen. Luckily there weren’t many of theme and these 10 bikes were perhaps the representable samples. Which of these you believe is the worst? Also, is there any bike from this list that you like?
